Looking for names, both male and female, that include West. For either gender, which of the below do you think works best? And would you prefer one for a boy versus a girl, if so which one?
TIA!
I like [name_m]Weston[/name_m] and [name_m]Westley[/name_m] for any gender!
Kind of like [name_f]Westlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]West[/name_u] too (Westlyn for a girl, [name_u]West[/name_u] for a boy - but could work on either). Now thinking about [name_f]Westerly[/name_f] and digging that too
Westland, [name_m]Westbrook[/name_m], [name_m]Westcott[/name_m], Westby/Westbee could be others
I really like [name_m]Westley[/name_m] on a boy! I don’t like any for a girl (sorry!) I think [name_u]West[/name_u] is a very cool nickname for a little fellow!
I live some of the alternates you suggested, @Greyblue, especially Westland. It was a bit unexpected, sort of like [name_u]Landon[/name_u]. And Westby, I don’t think I had ever heard of that!!
I like [name_u]West[/name_u] by itself, especially for a girl. On a boy, [name_m]Weston[/name_m] is fine, but I just like [name_u]West[/name_u] best. (Weston does remind me of the Westons in [name_f]Emma[/name_f], from [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u], so that’s good!)
@Emarkulics and @Lieseysmom thanks! And truthfully, [name_u]West[/name_u] by itself is my top pick for either gender. [name_f]My[/name_f] hang up has been finding a middle that fits without sounding like a town/school/street, especially for a girl. Any ideas?
@storygirl87 thanks! That’s been my concern with [name_m]Westley[/name_m] too. I feel like no matter how you say it, it could still be heard as [name_u]Wesley[/name_u].
I think [name_u]West[/name_u] works for any gender, same with [name_m]Westyn[/name_m]. I prefer [name_m]Westley[/name_m] for a boy and [name_f]Westerly[/name_f] for a girl
