It depends on how you pronounce it! for MARE-in, [name_f]Maren[/name_f], and for Muh-RIN, [name_u]Marin[/name_u].

For a girl I would go with [name_f]Maren[/name_f] which is the most common spelling in my preference and people would most likely recognize it better
