I have trouble finding a boy name and I really need some help! I am looking for a Portuguese name that is a mix of Lizandro Pedro (dad) and Eveline Elisabeth Maria Johanna (mom). My two other girls names are Naomi Elyse and Lisa Louise. I do like the name Joël, Elian, Miguel, Elio but I don’t like them a 100%. Please help!
Thanks a lot! I do like [name_m]Lucio[/name_m] and [name_m]Fernando[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] moms middle name is [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] so there is a good chance
[name_u]Lisa[/name_u] is already very similar to your dad’s name. What about Evandro or Ivandro as a mix? For a boy, other options could be [name_m]Sandro[/name_m], [name_m]Isidro[/name_m] or maybe [name_u]Andre[/name_u]. Similar to your mother’s name, I can think of [name_m]Ivo[/name_m], [name_m]Lino[/name_m], Avelino and Eliseu.
I’m minorly obsessed with Abraão today, so I really want to suggest that, lol, but is probably a bit problematic outside a Portuguese-speaking country. Are you looking for something that would work in multiple languages (Portuguese and [name_f]English[/name_f], for example), or something that would work in just a Portuguese-speaking country? I’m trying to tame my love for -ão ending names, because Abraão, [name_m]Simão[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastião[/name_m], Tristão, etc. take me to my happy place.
What about:
[name_m]Juliano[/name_m] (I think he’s super handsome with [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and Lisa?)
[name_m]Benjamim[/name_m]
[name_m]Martim[/name_m]
Calebe
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] (hands down my favorite name said in a Brazilian accent ever. He’s so dreamy!)
[name_u]Davi[/name_u]
[name_m]Teodoro[/name_m]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_m]Enzo[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] (honestly not sure how this is said in Portuguese, although I should probably find out, haha. Either way, it’s a nice name and works well in most languages and is lovely with [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and Lisa!)
[name_m]Caio[/name_m]
Evaristo (I think this combines Lizandro and [name_f]Eveline[/name_f] super well?)
Also not Portuguese, but I think [name_u]Everett[/name_u] would be so nice with [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and [name_u]Lisa[/name_u], works well to honor [name_f]Eveline[/name_f], and since [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] sort of honors Lizandro already, I think an [name_f]Eve[/name_f]- related name might be nice to honor you? You could even do something like [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_u]Andre[/name_u] for [name_f]Eveline[/name_f] + Lizandro? And I don’t think Everet(t) would be TOO hard in Portuguese?
I do like the name [name_m]Juliano[/name_m] but my sister just had a daughter named [name_f]Julia[/name_f] . I also have more names (given at my baptism when I was a baby), my full name is [name_f]Eveline[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Maria[/name_u] [name_f]Johanna[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] mom and his mom are both called [name_u]Maria[/name_u] so I was thinking about [name_m]Mario[/name_m] as his second name.
We don’t live in Portugal but in the Netherlands. The dad is actually from Cabo [name_f]Verde[/name_f]. I am sure some of those really pretty names people can’t pronounce over here but I do love them!
Ahh, shoot, should’ve noticed the (Cabo Verde) in your subject line! Abraão would probably be problematic for the Netherlands, boo! With all the Marias, what about [name_m]Mariano[/name_m]? Feels a bit like [name_m]Juliano[/name_m] but honors all the Maria’s?
These also feel a bit like [name_m]Juliano[/name_m] to me:
[name_m]Adriano[/name_m]
[name_m]Augusto[/name_m]
Bento (short form of Benedito/related to Benedict/Benedikt)
[name_m]Bruno[/name_m]
[name_m]Caetano[/name_m]
[name_m]Cristiano[/name_m]
[name_m]Cipriano[/name_m]
[name_m]Clemente[/name_m]
[name_u]Cosme[/name_u]
[name_m]Diogo[/name_m] (Portuguese form of Diego)
[name_u]Elias[/name_u]
Eliseu (Portuguese form of Elisha)
Enéas
[name_m]Feliciano[/name_m]
[name_m]Felipe[/name_m]
[name_m]Félix[/name_m]
[name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]
[name_m]Gaspar[/name_m]
Graciano
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Ivo[/name_m]
[name_m]Jeremias[/name_m]
[name_m]Joel[/name_m]
[name_m]Leonel[/name_m]
[name_m]Mateus[/name_m]
[name_m]Moises[/name_m]
Nataniel/Nathan (I am not sure if [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] is Portuguese but I know a Brazilian whose name is [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] so it translates well, I would say. In [name_u]Brazil[/name_u] it is pronounced nah-TAHN.)
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] (love [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and he’d be super cute with [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and Lisa!)
[name_m]Pedro[/name_m]
Rafael/Rafa - [name_u]Rafa[/name_u] is the diminutive in [name_u]Brazil[/name_u], I believe—not sure about Cabo [name_f]Verde[/name_f]! Still, a very cool name. I love [name_u]Rafa[/name_u] lol.
Ruben/Rubem
[name_m]Santiago[/name_m] (didn’t realize this was also Portuguese, but I saw it was on another site and it feels a bit like [name_m]Juliano[/name_m] to me!)
Tadeu - not sure how easy this would be in the Netherlands, but it seems pretty straight forward to me? I think it’s super fun.
Also throwing in Bartolomeu for good measure, since I can’t say no to a good [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] variant. . I got a bit Portuguese happy; hopefully something in here appeals? I tried to go for options like [name_m]Juliano[/name_m] that could work internationally and weren’t too hard to pronounce. Good luck!
I love the names [name_m]Mariano[/name_m] (it fits the Maria’s very well), [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_m]Raphael[/name_m], [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], Elias… so many names to choose from
You really helped me, I appreciate it a lot! I will let you know what the end result will be!
