I am having a difficult time with girls names! Since my husband seems to produce girls, I would like to have a name in our pocket. I had been asking advice for this months ago but, unfortunately, I lost the pregnancy. Since my husband got his [name_f]Claire[/name_f], he is letting me have final say in this name. Though, of course, I do want his input.
One name we did agree on was [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. I think it’s a lovely name and it fits so well with our children. However, I am not quite in love with it. The popularity is also a concern. I like to keep girl names out of the top 100. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] would be the combo.
The second name I liked was [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f]. I was in love with this name for a while but, it has sort of died down. Someone mentioned [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Alana[/name_f] (uh-lay-nuh) are too similar. I know my stepdaughter ([name_f]Alana[/name_f]) would be pleased because she expressed wanting a sister that shared her initial. [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f] [name_f]Marceline[/name_f] is my top (my stepdaughter, the baby and I would have the same initials) followed by [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f].
[name_f]Marceline[/name_f] is a name that my interest waivers. Somedays I love it and I find it totally usable. I love the uniqueness of it and that it isn’t even the social security top 1000. Other times, I just can’t see it. Yes, I did get it from Adventure Time. I am even warming up to the nickname [name_f]Marci[/name_f].
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]. [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is one of those names that fits well with the kids. However, it causes a distinct divide between the children. All my girls would begin with C. My stepson doesn’t care but, my stepdaughter does.
Some other names I like are: [name_u]Eden[/name_u], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_u]Tatum[/name_u], [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Leah[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
