Its a work in progress…
I have recently expressed interest in the name Goldgeve (gold-yee-va) and now I’m showing interest in [name_f]Corisande[/name_f] and Clarimund. [name_f]My[/name_f] husbands entire family is ALL k’s and everything gets soo mucked up and confused, which led to my dislike for it. I thought perhaps if I changed Clarimund to the [name_m]French[/name_m] variant Esclaremonde, nickname Essie. Then I would have all my first names be the medieval names that I like while all my nicknames be the quirky short names without them ALL starting with the same letter. Please give me your feedback on this idea…? IS Esclaremonde a good alternative? Do they all sound like pretty medieval names? Do the first name options pair well? Are the nicknames too cutesy or matchy? Do the nicknames pair well?
Thank you all, kindly!
For Example:
Goldgeve would go by [name_f]Golda[/name_f]/[name_f]Goldie[/name_f]
[name_f]Corisande[/name_f] would go by Cossie or [name_f]Cora[/name_f]
Esclaremonde would go by [name_f]Essie[/name_f]
I would choose these two option that way they do not run into the same FIRST letter in their nicknames:
[name_f]Goldie[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Essie[/name_f]
[name_f]Golda[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
Essa
-
- or something completely different–
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Rissa[/name_f]
Mondie
– or–
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Essie[/name_f]
@ fourthseason;
Mondie/Mondy/Monde is a nice option but it does seem more frumpy by itself, but paired with [name_f]Golda[/name_f], and Cossie it does give a nice combination of spunky shorter names…
[name_f]Essa[/name_f] – I hadn’t considered [name_f]Essa[/name_f], but I think i like [name_f]Essie[/name_f] best.
-
- or something completely different-- These are different and completely way off the original names but I like it because they maintain the same feel.
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Essie[/name_f]
Thank you!
What do you think of the name Esclaremonde? Is it a good alternative? [name_f]Do[/name_f] all three sound medieval but pretty at the same time?
