I don’t know, but I kind of think it would’ve happened already for [name]Phoebe[/name], that name was on two major tv shows in the late 90’s - early 00’s. And [name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Daphne[/name] doesn’t have the nickname opportunity [name]Penelope[/name] has.
I think [name]Phoebe[/name] has the potential to be in the top 100. I always felt [name]Phoebe[/name] belonged in the [name]Zoe[/name]/[name]Chloe[/name] crowd and both those names are in the top 100, and with cousin names like [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Fiona[/name] rising in popularity I would say [name]Phoebe[/name] has a good chance of becoming popular
That’s true, too - that’s partially what drew me to [name]Penelope[/name] was the nickname options.
I could see it near the top 100 but I’m not sure it would ever get to 100 or top 50
Well, it’s in the top 50 in the UK, but then again it does seem to fit more with the [name]Maisie[/name]/[name]Evie[/name]/[name]Lily[/name] -ee sounding endings and nicknamey names that are more popular over here than with a lot of the current US list. Never say never, but I think other posters are right in saying it probably would have already happened if it was going to peak high.
I don’t think so. Although I do believe it can get up there, maybe in the 200’s. But I honestly cannot see thousands of people giving the name to their daughters, only several hundred.
All three I think will rise in popularity. [name]Penelope[/name] is [name]Dash[/name]'s new baby girl. [name]Daphne[/name] from Switched at Birth. And [name]Phoebe[/name] from Friends but it is similar to [name]Penelope[/name] and a little different.
