Presley for a girl?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think the name [name_u]Presley[/name_u] is cute?

I personally don’t like it. What about [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]?

I’m not a fan either, I was just wondering what you guys thought of it. [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f] isn’t my style, it’s kind of dated. But, it does fit with the [name_m]Elvis[/name_m] theme.

I actually love [name_u]Presley[/name_u] for a girl. I had a friend who named her baby this about 5 years ago and I loved hearing and saying it! I thought it was so cute and a bit different but not too out there.

[name_f]LOVE[/name_f] for a mn! I know a 2 year old with [name_u]Presley[/name_u] in the middle spot and it really suits her.

[name_u]Presley[/name_u] is extremely common around here. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though I’ve never actually seen it spelled that way. I’ve seen several kids named [name_f]Preslee[/name_f], [name_f]Presleigh[/name_f], or even [name_f]Preslea[/name_f]. I wish this weird spelling trend would end. Haha

Personally, it does have a cute sound but I don’t think it would age well.

I mean… it will fit well with the current -ley trend and male names turned female.
With all the little [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]'s and [name_u]Finley[/name_u]'s running around [name_u]Presley[/name_u] will fit in fine.
But it is very trendy.

I really like the name for a girl, I also think it’s more common than most people would think.

I actually adore it!!! Its one of my favorite unisex names. I even like it when it spelled different, I have seen Preslei & [name_f]Presleigh[/name_f] .

I love it. And while my kids’ names are all A theme,
when we found out we were pregnant… [name_u]Presley[/name_u] and [name_u]Paisley[/name_u]
were on our list for g/g twins. :]
We come from a small town in Oklahoma, and while that is
the naming style around here, it seems… they’re not that
popular, so that was right up our alley!

I think the name [name_u]Presley[/name_u] would be adorable on a little girl, and it sounds like something that would age well, at least in my opinion. [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f] is nice too, but I find it kind of feminine and old fashioned, where [name_u]Presley[/name_u] could sound old-timey or modern, feminine or masculine. I think it would adjust better to the girl’s personality and I feel [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f] wouldn’t age quite as well. If, however, you do decide to go with [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f], or something similarly feminine, try to give her a unisex mn, or at least something with a masculine nn, in case she ends up being a total tomboy.

GOOD [name_m]LUCK[/name_m]!!!:D:D:D

Personally, I dont like the name [name_u]Presley[/name_u] on a girl or on a boy because its such a name that associated with [name_m]Elvis[/name_m]. Its like naming your child [name_f]Oprah[/name_f], or [name_m]Obama[/name_m]. Thats all people are going to think about when they hear your kids name.
Alternatives:
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]- I think its a little too frilly to match the tone of [name_u]Presley[/name_u]
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u]- [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] this name. I think this is a way better option than [name_u]Presley[/name_u]. Feminine, but not too much, and has some spunk
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m]- For a more masculine sounding alternative
[name_f]Elvira[/name_f]- For a unique sounding name to go with the [name_m]Elvis[/name_m] theme
[name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f]- More feminine way to honor [name_m]Elvis[/name_m], using a play on the name of Graceland

I think [name_u]Presley[/name_u] is cute… I’m an [name_m]Elvis[/name_m] fan so I like this spelling. My niece’s name is [name_f]Presleigh[/name_f] (her grandmother on the other side has mn [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], which is why they chose this spelling) and it fits her. It seems pretty popular around here though.

I’m not a fan of it of either gender.

It sounds very juvenile to me. I love [name_m]Elvis[/name_m] [name_u]Presley[/name_u]'s music but not enough to name a child after him.

Not my cup of tea to be honest.

I think [name_u]Presley[/name_u] sounds so cheesy! Have you thought of [name_u]Paisley[/name_u]?
