I think this name is beautiful but am worried about it being too faddish. Not looking for advice on how to spell it, but what does everyone think?
I think this name sounds unattractive and dated. The ‘pres’ sound of the name just isn’t appealing and feels more masculine. I prefer [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] it just sounds more attractive and prettier.
I think it sounds masculine and I agree with @tori01 that I find it rather dated.
I have to echo the opinions of the previous posters. [name_u]Presley[/name_u] is extremely trendy, so if that isn’t what you’re going for, I would steer clear of it, with any spelling. It is a surname name, so perhaps you might like some other surname-y names for girls. Personally, I enjoy [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], [name_u]Sutton[/name_u], [name_u]Tatum[/name_u], [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], [name_u]Parker[/name_u], or [name_u]Saylor[/name_u].
Here’s an article from Appellation Mountain with a bunch more.
I also agree you should consider [name_u]Paisley[/name_u], or even [name_f]Posey[/name_f]. They are very cute and feminine, and not quite as trendy as [name_u]Presley[/name_u]. Best of luck!
THX for the honest feedback. I appreciate it
[name_u]Presley[/name_u] is fine if spelled this way. It’s certainly trendy, and I would assume parents were [name_m]Elvis[/name_m] fans, otherwise it would be a tad weird.
I do have to agree that [name_u]Presley[/name_u] is rather trendy. The only thing that makes me like it is the connection to [name_m]Elvis[/name_m]. I do wonder if people will assume that’s who she’s named after though if that bothers you.
I do not care for this name personally and agree that it sounds masculine. I think of [name_m]Elvis[/name_m] and leather jackets.
