Gosh I must read back over things before I post…a lot of letters missing there!!

From what you said, I voted for [name]Clementine[/name]. If you’re afraid [name]Phoebe[/name] is too popular for you, I would err on the side of caution, and I’m personally not a fan of [name]Primrose[/name] at all. It makes me think of a very strict schoolteacher. By the way, I think the nn [name]Emmy[/name] would be really cute with [name]Clementine[/name].

[name]Primrose[/name] feels very tight-laced to me. [name]Phoebe[/name] is sweet, but to me it’s just a little too sweet. So that leaves [name]Clementine[/name], which is a name I love. At first I didn’t like it because of the no nickname problem, but then someone suggested [name]Minnie[/name] which I love. [name]Emmy[/name] is another good nickname.

I love [name]Primrose[/name] & [name]Phoebe[/name]. I could take or leave [name]Clementine[/name] tbh. I’m from AUS and [name]Primrose[/name] works well here too… No one would think twice about it, very pretty name and the NN Prim is adorable

[name]Primrose[/name] or [name]Clementine[/name]. [name]Phoebe[/name] seems overused to me.

NN for [name]Clementine[/name]:

[name]Clemmie[/name]
[name]Clem[/name]
[name]Emmy[/name]
[name]Cleo[/name]
[name]Minnie[/name]

I think [name]Primrose[/name] is flexible, unusual but not weird or unheard of. You could be a wild person or a quiet bookreader and still suit the name either way.

[name]Primrose[/name]. I adore [name]Primrose[/name], such a beautiful name.

[name]Primrose[/name] does not work in the US, imo. So it’s hard for me to picture it. I think if you love [name]Phoebe[/name] you should use it. People/kids have a way of making their names their own. That said, I voted for [name]Clementine[/name] because I love the nickname potential (especially [name]Cleo[/name] which I’d never thought of before)!

if you love Clementines vibe and P’s why not boldly go for Persimmon?

[name]Primrose[/name] is on the rise due to the Hunger Games and Clementines already been discovered by Hollywood.

[name]Phoebe[/name] is nice, at least in the US its not so out there as the other two, but in school she’d definitely never have to deal with another [name]Phoebe[/name] in her class. quirky.

im usually not for crazy but Persimmon has been dwelling on my mind since browsing names this year and i havent found a real life situation that it would fit in until now!

i say someone needs to take the plunge and use this name!

its a charming smash between [name]Persephone[/name] and [name]Simone[/name].

could go with [name]Percy[/name] as a nickname which i usually hate for girls, but it seems to be lovely here.

I voted for [name]Primrose[/name]. love the name as well as the nicknames it can have Prim, Primmy, [name]Rosy[/name], [name]Posy[/name].
I agree [name]Clementine[/name] is lovely but lacks cute nicknames.
[name]Phoebe[/name] is nice but your other choices are much more pretty.

I’ve never understood the love for [name]Clementine[/name], and [name]Primrose[/name] just makes me think of words like prim and prissy. I like [name]Phoebe[/name], though. It’s simultaneously elegant and spunky to me.

[name]Primrose[/name] is too much The Hunger Games.

[name]Phoebe[/name] is cool, but too popular and too Friends.

I adore [name]Clementine[/name]. Is classic and soft, and have to many nicknames and Is just perfect for a little woman.

I live in Southern [name]California[/name] and many cutting edge moms are using phoebe. I am gonna go on a limb and say that’s its the next piper! So if popularity bothers you then stay away. When I was pregnant with my son I was obsessed with [name]Clementine[/name], had he been a girl we would have used it. However I took Clemetine off the list by the time I had my second daughter because I had met too many. I also love P names as I have a [name]Paloma[/name]. I would use primrose. Also love the suggestion on persimmon!

I by far prefer [name]Primrose[/name], but it almost feels too ethereal–I’m not sure how well it would work in real life? For me right now it’s very tied to The Hunger Games, but at the same time, I really love it and want it to work. [name]Eli[/name] and [name]Primrose[/name] are adorable, and [name]Posy[/name] is to die for. I feel like [name]Eli[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name] are bit close, with all the soft "E"s and the strong “L” and “I” sounds in [name]Clementine[/name], so that leaves [name]Eli[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name], which I think are really nice. But my heart is still with [name]Primrose[/name], it’s by far my favorite.

Good luck!

I could not choose – because I [name]LOVE[/name] your choices! I did go with [name]Primrose[/name], but it hard! I really like all three – in slightly different ways.

[name]Clementine[/name]: I love love love this name. I think it has adorable nns, but I don’t like [name]Clemmy[/name], and it can become difficult for a parent to enforce nns. If her friends in high school start calling her [name]Clem[/name], I don’t see what a mother is to do. As long as the nns are of the [name]Emme[/name] variety, I think this name rocks. I love that it could be a dance hall girl in a western or a belle in an Edwardian romance. I like that range in a name. It is a little bit country – in the best way – and it is also a little bit classy.

[name]Phoebe[/name]: I like it. Okay – I was a [name]Louisa[/name] [name]May[/name] [name]Alcott[/name] fan as a child, and one of her more obscure novels had a hero named [name]Phoebe[/name]. It is upbeat, simple, lilting. It is also legitimate to say it is “Friends.” And it might be destined for great popularity. So you do have to weigh the pros and cons to see which side wins for you.

[name]Primrose[/name]: Simply adorable. I’m so glad I refused to read The Hunger Games AND Twilight! It would seem that between them they are ruining a wealth of great names. I think [name]Posy[/name] is quite possibly the cutest nn on the planet. And I don’t get the uptight image at all. It is elegant and whimsical and cute all at the same time. It is the one I picked after a struggle.

I voted for [name]Primrose[/name], but agree with some of the other comments above about it. While I like [name]Phoebe[/name] a lot and would have said go with that, [name]Eli[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name] seem hard to say together. [name]Eli[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name] don’t work all that well together either and seem pretty off in terms of length too.

Some possibilities:

[name]Eli[/name] and

[name]Avis[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Flora[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] ([name]Josie[/name])
[name]Mary[/name]
[name]Pamela[/name]
[name]Paula[/name] ([name]Polly[/name])
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Persis[/name]
[name]Petra[/name]
[name]Philippa[/name]
[name]Tabitha[/name]
[name]Tamsin[/name]
[name]Sybil[/name]
[name]Priscilla[/name]
