Problems w/ Lèa??

Posting this to hopefully help rid the trolls a little. Lately I’ve been really loving Léa ([name]Lay[/name]-uh). I’m assuming that there will be some confusion with the pronunciation. (besides the starwars [name]Leia[/name] connection, but I’m not worried about that) I’m wondering if you think the confusion with the pronunciation is enough to stop me from using the name?

I would spell it [name]Leia[/name] if you want to pronounced that way. The [name]Star[/name] Wars connection could work for you as far as making the pronunciation familiar to people. [name]Lea[/name] (I don’t know how to do accent marks on the computer) would almost certainly be butchered by a lot of people. I do think it’s pretty, though.

Well, I’ve learnt French, so I would pronounce it [name]Lay[/name]-uh, because of the little ‘dash’ on the top. Its useable.

I do prefer [name]Lia[/name] though.

I actually think that Léa is very pretty. I’ve only read a few French books, so I wouldn’t know how to pronnounce it right away. Maybe spelling it [name]Leia[/name] would be easier, but if you’re uncomfortable with the [name]Star[/name] Wars association, then I wouldn’t do it.
It would be farily confusing in a non-French speaking country, but if you’re willing to over look it, then go for it.

I knew it was prn [name]Lay[/name]-a bc of the accents and [name]Love[/name] it! However, [name]Leia[/name] would be the more simpler option. Also love [name]Anja[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] too. They go nicely together.

I love it! sure there will be spelling and pronounciation error issue, but I think it’s still okay. Léa [name]June[/name] and [name]Anja[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] are reallly pretty.

Totally agree with frustratedauthor
