Pronounce Cassia

I pronounce it cass-ee-uh. For cash-uh I would go with [name]Kasia[/name] which is the polish diminutive of [name]Catherine[/name].

I’ve met two, one from US and one from [name]Brazil[/name], and both said [name]Cass[/name]-ee-uh so I always say it that way.

On next top model there was a contestant called [name]Kasia[/name] which I think is a great name and a more unique, exotic spelling than [name]Cassia[/name] ([name]Kasia[/name] was part russian). They pronounced it [name]Cash[/name]-sha or Car-sha. I like it better pronounced that way than [name]Cass[/name]-see-a.

I’ve only ever heard it pronounced [name]Cash[/name]-uh

I always think [name]CASH[/name]-ah when I see [name]Cassia[/name], but friends of ours named their baby girl [name]Cassia[/name] a few months ago and she goes by [name]CASS[/name]-ee-uh. Everyone around here seems to pronounce it [name]CASS[/name]-ee-uh instinctively. We have a significant polish population here and I have known a few girls named [name]Kasia[/name], (cash-ah) which is such a pretty spelling/sound (all the polish girls have quite pretty soft sounding names actually)

Same here. I learned the [name]Cash[/name]-a pronunciation from nameberry but this is the first time I’m seeing “rhymes with [name]Sasha[/name]”. I’ve been saying [name]Cash[/name]-a with the same ‘a’ as in the word cash.

Either way, I prefer [name]Cash[/name]-a to [name]Cass[/name]-ee-a, but I think most people would intuitively say the latter.

[name]Cass[/name]-ee-uh definitely, but I can see the pronunciation of [name]Cash[/name]-a

I think I’d start to say cass-e-uh and then remember nameberry and stop myself and say cash-uh. [name]Both[/name] are gorgeous to me though.

[name]Cassius[/name] = cash-us thus [name]Cassia[/name] = cash-uh

Like a lot of ppl I pronounced it ca-see-a until I seen on another thread that it’s supposed to be cash-a. I think it’s a lovely name whichever way you pronounce it.

[name]Cass[/name]-ee-ah.

It reminds me of [name]Muhammad[/name] [name]Ali[/name]'s given name, [name]Cassius[/name] [name]Clay[/name], so definitely [name]Cash[/name]-a.
