Does it sound like [name]Melody[/name]?
More like “ey loh dee” you can listen to it at forvo.com since I’m not very good at explaining pronunciations.
I pronounce it like [name]Melody[/name] without the M.
You can listen to the French pronunciation here: Pronunciations for elodie in French (from Élodie Bouchez to d'Élodie)
In English it would probably be pronounced to rhyme with [name]Melody[/name].
I pronounce it eh-loh-[name]DEE[/name] or ay-loe-[name]DEE[/name]. The emphasis is on the last syllable, so it doesn’t really sound like [name]Melody[/name] without the M’ to me at all.
French e = ay lo [name]DEE[/name] - stress on last syl.
I pronounce it like [name]Melody[/name] without the M (:
^ Ditto…
When I say it in English it comes out rhyming with [name]Melody[/name]. When I say it in french it comes out as ay-lo-[name]DEE[/name].
I try to say it the French way but it never comes out right
Maybe it’s just my accent, but whenever I pronounce this name it sounds like “elladee”…which makes sense since I say melody “melladee”.
L-O-D basically [name]Melody[/name] without the M
