[name]How[/name] is the name [name]Elio[/name] proounced? Which way is the “E” said: [name]ELL[/name]-io or EEE-lio?
I would say it the first way. Or somewhat between [name]EL[/name]-ee-oh and ay-lee-oh.
My first instinct was [name]ELL[/name]-io.
I would say Eee-[name]Lio[/name], since it reminds me of [name]Helios[/name], the personification of the [name]Sun[/name] in Greek mythology, and I’d also pronounce that with a long “E” sound at the beginning.
I would say Eee-[name]Lio[/name] but I just picture the [name]Elio[/name] frozen pizza I had growing up.
I’d say AY-lee-o. You can find it on Forvo (a word pronunciation site). They have a French pronunciation, too, and that one sounds more like the start of [name]Elliott[/name] (eh-lee-O).
My instinctive reaction for pronunciation is the AY-lee-o one, though.
[name]Elio[/name]: [name]Ell[/name] - io …short e
eli: ee - lie …long e
It really depends upon the origin for proper pronunciation though
ell-ee-o is my instinct
i would pronounce it as EE-[name]LEO[/name] if i saw it written down
I would probably say EE-leo, but then ask to make sure I was right. It’s definitely the sort of name that’s gonna be corrected alll the time.
EE-[name]Lio[/name]
It mean [name]Sun[/name] in Greek
