Questions about Danielle/Daniella

The name [name_f]Danielle[/name_f]/[name_f]Daniella[/name_f] has made it to my top three but I don’t know what to do with it! I prefer [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] to [name_f]Daniella[/name_f] but I prefer the nickname [name_f]Ella[/name_f] to [name_u]Dani[/name_u]. I also wonder if [name_f]Daniella[/name_f] would sound better since our last name is [name_m]Packer[/name_m], only two syllables. We haven’t decided on a middle name but it will very likely be either [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Anne[/name_f].
What’s your opinion about this? I’m trying to narrow down my list and I want to knock one of these off!

I think [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] is far prettier. You could still use [name_f]Ella[/name_f] as a nickname.

As a [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] myself, you have a lot more nickname potential than just [name_u]Dani[/name_u] or [name_f]Elle[/name_f]! My middle name is [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f] (it’s a family name) and both my maiden name and married name are also two syllables. I’ve always loved my name and was never made fun of for it.
By chance, I went to school with 5 other [name_f]Danielle[/name_f]'s and we all went by different nicknames: [name_u]Dani[/name_u], [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Dee[/name_f], [name_u]Dana[/name_u] and [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. Those are just some of the obvious ones, not taking into consideration a middle name combo nickname.

I think [name_f]Daniella[/name_f] is also beautiful, but anticipate a lot of correction over the phone or for billing stuff in future “it’s [name_u]Daniell[/name_u]-A, not [name_f]Danielle[/name_f]!” although you could drop an L and make it easier for correction “It’s like [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], with an A at the end”.

My Greek grandparents always called me [name_f]Daniela[/name_f] in place of [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] because it was more traditional for our culture, but I always preferred to be called [name_f]Danielle[/name_f].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps & for middle names, I think longer/more feminine names that start with a vowel go better with [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] ([name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f], etc.) although people always loved that my middle started with an L & would compliment how well it rolled off the tongue. Thanks Mom & Dad!

I think just plain [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] is sooo gorgeous and elegant. [name_f]Daniela[/name_f] is pretty too, but not quite as nice as simply [name_f]Danielle[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Elle[/name_f] and [name_f]Nell[/name_f]/y as nicknames

Another vote for [name_f]Danielle[/name_f]! I actually like it better with your last name too. Kind of a stretch, but [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] gives you the [name_f]Ell[/name_f] and an A to make the [name_f]Ella[/name_f] nickname?
