Questions about Harold

Hello all,
I’ve been crushing on [name]Harold[/name] lately, particularly with nn [name]Hal[/name] (though it’s also a cute way to get to nn [name]Harry[/name]). What you think, particularly as a brother to [name]Edmund[/name]? Some other questions, if anyone has the time & inclination to answer:

  1. Is it too close to [name]Henry[/name] to use [name]Henry[/name] as the mn? As in [name]Harold[/name] [name]Henry[/name] as a combo. They seem to be unrelated names, but both nn to [name]Harry[/name], so it might seem strange.
  2. Would it be weird to use [name]Harold[/name] if his brother’s mn is [name]Henry[/name]? eg. [name]Edmund[/name] [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Harold[/name] [name]John[/name].
  3. Does it fit with my other favourites (see sig)?

I think [name]Harold[/name] is just ok, but I do think it fits well with the other names on your list.

I don’t care for [name]Harold[/name] [name]Henry[/name] as a combo but I think [name]Henry[/name] as a brothers mn is fine. [name]Edmund[/name] [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Harold[/name] [name]John[/name] are great brother names.

[name]Harold[/name] [name]Francis[/name] or [name]Harold[/name] [name]Walter[/name] sound nice.

  3. Does it fit with my other favourites (see sig)? [name]Harold[/name], [name]Walter[/name], and [name]Francis[/name] seem to go together well as a sibset. I also like [name]Edmund[/name], [name]Hugh[/name], and Theordore or [name]Edmund[/name], [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name] as sibsets.

Caroline147, you and I seem to like the same names! I really like [name]Harold[/name] (wish I could convince DH to put it on our list, but can’t) and thinks it makes a great sibset with [name]Edmund[/name]. I don’t like [name]Harold[/name] [name]Henry[/name] together, but [name]Harold[/name] [name]John[/name] sounds nice to me.

I’m happy that everyone agrees that [name]Edmund[/name] [name]Henry[/name] with a brother [name]Harold[/name] is alright, thanks! Still pondering the name slightly, anyone else have any opinions?
