  • Napoleon Balthazar: 6 (7%)

I voted for [name_m]Endymion[/name_m] Meadowlark and [name_m]Viridian[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]. I would actually prefer [name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m], but not with Voltaire.

[name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] is my favourite first (naturally), but I think he might be a bit much with Voltaire. Oleander [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] is my favourite combo overall. I think it balances well, and isn’t too much name altogether. [name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m]’s fun and full of energy, he loves to play and is always looking to help out. Oleander is a bit more down to earth, but still quite eccentric and knowledgable. For some reason I really struggle to imagine [name_m]Endymion[/name_m] and [name_m]Viridian[/name_m] on a person, they really sound like ships or place names to me (maybe I need to meet one). But I’d say they both sound like heroes, adventurers, or explorers. [name_m]Napoleon[/name_m] [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] I think is beyond me; I can’t get past the Bonaparte association to imagine it properly.

I appreciate the feedback regarding Voltaire, that one was DH’s idea, but I have other middle options floating around with [name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] as well.
[name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] [name_m]Alphonse[/name_m]
[name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] [name_u]Claude[/name_u]-[name_m]Yves[/name_m]
[name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] [name_u]Winslow[/name_u]
[name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] [name_m]Virgil[/name_m] (another DH suggestion)
[name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] [name_u]Loren[/name_u]

Finding the right combo has been tough.

And admittedly [name_m]Napoleon[/name_m] [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] is maybe my only gp name. [name_m]Napoleon[/name_m] is lovely but carries way too much baggage.

[name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] [name_m]Virgil[/name_m] or [name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] Lorien (as in LOTR) may sound better then Voltaire, although now that you listed these middles [name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] Voltaire has certain flow others lack…

Oleander, [name_m]Endymion[/name_m] and [name_m]Viridian[/name_m] are my favorites, [name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] is hard to pronounce for me because two consonants doesn’t used at the beginning of words in Turkish and Batlamyus is easier  [name_m]Napoleon[/name_m] is not usable because it is to tied to a historical figure and there aren’t other famous people that shares the name

[name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] is so lovely! [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] reminds me of the nature, the countryside, and rivers, and really complements [name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] in my opinion.

I voted for Oleander [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] and like the potential nn [name_m]Anders[/name_m] or [name_u]Perry[/name_u]. [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m]/[name_m]Baz[/name_m], I’ve considered this one as well and also like [name_m]Apollo[/name_m].

I want to like [name_m]Napoleon[/name_m] but agree I’m unsure of it’s usability. Perhaps “[name_m]Leon[/name_m]” could make it a bit more useable?

I don’t know if others pronounce it differently, but for us the p is silent so the name is pronounced tol-uh-mee.

Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you all! I’m really enjoying seeing all of your varying opinions and how creative you are with the nicknames!

I know it’s silent but I keep forgetting and get confused every time I see the name lmao, I say Pı-to-le-mi before I remember p is silent and I bet the name doesn’t sound right with my accent

I totally understand!
[name_m]Thay[/name_m] sort of confusion is why I’ve been on the fence about the name.
