Quill

Is the name [name_u]Quill[/name_u] terrible or usable?

Just about usable for a boy, not a fan for a girl. [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] would be a much better alternative imo.

Quill as a stand alone is usual-able but not very strong on it’s own! I recommend adding a strong middle or second first name, I agree with [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] making it stronger and being better on a boy, though I can see a little [name_u]Quill[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_u]Quill[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] for a cute little girl and a [name_u]Quill[/name_u] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] and [name_u]Quill[/name_u] [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] for a boy! It’s unisex so I don’t think it matters if it goes on a girl or boy though that’s me with every name

It makes me think of [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Quill[/name_u] from Guardians of the [name_f]Galaxy[/name_f] so it feels more masculine to me but I do like it as a name. I agree with others that [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is better for a girl.

I think it’s perfectly usable. Cute name!

i quite like it! Especially as a middle it would be cute :heartbeat:

I’m a bit torn because I like the meaning and the fact that it makes me think of beautiful antique writing desks and bottles of ink, but sound-wise [name_u]Quill[/name_u] doesn’t really appeal to me. I find [name_f]Quilla[/name_f] or [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] more pleasant.

That being said, [name_u]Quill[/name_u] seems like an out there but usable choice to me!

I really like [name_u]Quill[/name_u] on a boy and I do think it would be adorable on a little girl! I have [name_f]Quilla[/name_f] on my list for a girl which is slightly more pleasant sounding.

I think its really nice. i prefer it for a boy but it would work for either

Quill is cute and quirky

I’m not a big fan of it on a girl. It sounds pretty masculine and sadly I just think of porcupines

I find it between terrible and weird. Sorry

Quill’s all right, though it’s a masculine name to me. I really like it on a boy but on a girl…

It works. If you want to soften it up or make it a bit more feminine, you could use [name_f]Jonquil[/name_f] as the full name and [name_u]Quill[/name_u] as the nn.

I think it’s a good name for children of writers! I prefer it in the middle though. I think it’s equally usable on girls and boys.

I like [name_u]Quill[/name_u] for a boy, not so much for a girl. [name_f]My[/name_f] great grandpa was named [name_m]Aquilla[/name_m] but always went by [name_u]Quill[/name_u] so to me it seems very masculine.

I like it, but not so much on a girl
