What are your overall thoughts/impressions of the name [name_m]Quincy[/name_m]? [name_f][/name_f]Not sure how I feel about it, or for which gender even. I just saw a birth announcement for a little girl named [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] (whom they call Quinnie) and it felt so cheery, but maybe that was more so because of the family than the name? I’ve been liking [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] as a middle name option the more I see it around here, and the combo [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] immediately popped into my head. It feels so bright for a little girl. [name_f][/name_f]However, [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] feels more like a male name to me? [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] seems to be most popular with girls, though it is unisex. I knew a boy named [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Adams[/name_m] who was only ever called [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] (as a [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] [name_m]Adams[/name_m] reference), so I associate it more with a boy. Then I’ve known of several boys/men named [name_m]Quinten[/name_m].

Enough rambling [name_f][/name_f], it just got me wondering what the general consensus was on the name. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] or [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] leans more male or female? Does the name stink overall or do you find it wearable? Could always use [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] as a formal name with nn [name_m]Quincy[/name_m], but the combo [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] (which very well might sound ridiculous ) feels like it has a little something special that [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] might be missing on its own.
I think both are unisex names. [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] leans masculine while [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] leans feminine imo but I think both work for both.

I don’t love the repeating -y endings in [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] and think [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] flows better. And I love “just” [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] on its own.
I would say both are completely neutral for me, but I’ve never met a [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] or a [name_m]Quincy[/name_m], so I don’t really have any associations to go by. [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Quincy[/name_m] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] is cute – very bouncy and bright! I like that with [name_m]Quincy[/name_m], you have the option of using [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] as a nickname if you wanted to.
[name_f]Quinn[/name_f] feels more feminine as a full name, but it can work for a nickname on a boy. I don’t like [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] much at all, but if I had to pick, I would definitely say boy! It just feels so unnatural on a girl to me.
super cute name! I would think [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] is more masculine, and [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] more feminine (I know a woman named Quinty), but the other way around totally works too. The name [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] is just a big ray of sunshine
I’m a non-binary Quint who goes by “Quincy”! (so maybe a bit biased! )
I think of Quincy as a primarily (but not exclusively) masculine name and of Quinn as more “true neutral” to feminine (mainly because of the increasing usage for girls).
I’ve always really liked the name Quincy because it has a vintage and posh feeling to it while also feeling fun and quirky!
The combination Quincy Sunday is so spunky and adorable (bouncy is the PERFECT word for it)! Personally I love the matchy ‘y’ ending! I could definitely see it on a little girl
As someone from a foreign country who’s never met any Quinn/Quincy I’ve always loved both for both boy/girl, I much prefer [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] though. If I were from an [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking country it would be in my top 5
I love [name_m]Quincy[/name_m]! It does feel sunny and bright [name_f][/name_f]- like summer days, fruit picking, picnics (I think because [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] → quince) but it’s also got that cool, rough-and-tumble, cowboy element to it too.
[name_f][/name_f]
For me, I’d say [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] tilts masculine but I like it on any gender!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Quincy[/name_m] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] is super sparky. I do think [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] ‘Quincy’ would work too
Yay for [name_m]Quincy[/name_m], I love this name! So sunny and bouncy [name_f][/name_f] but not too cutesy to not suit an adult.

This was my lovely neighbor’s name growing up so [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] (and Quinn) leans feminine to me. [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] nickname [name_m]Quincy[/name_m] is a wonderful
