Quintin

Thoughts on [name_m]Quintin[/name_m]?

[name_u]Will[/name_u] it get mixed up with [name_u]Quentin[/name_u]?

I pronounce them differently. I like [name_m]Quintin[/name_m] better because it doesn’t have that huge [name_m]Tarantino[/name_m] association.

I really like this name!! :yellow_heart:

At first, I thought it was an alternative spelling of Quentin but now that I say it out loud, I actually prefer the sound of Quintin. The spelling Quinten might make it seem more complete, in my eyes!

It probably will get confused with Quentin, but a quick correction is no problem!

(I just put Quinten on my list!)

[name_m]Quintin[/name_m] is cool! I do think it might get mixed up with [name_u]Quentin[/name_u] sometimes since that’s more popular, though I would also pronounce them differently.

I have also seen [name_m]Quinton[/name_m] used if you like that? I think it makes the name more distinct from [name_u]Quentin[/name_u], and personally I would pronounce it almost identically to [name_m]Quintin[/name_m]. (In theory I would say [name_m]Quinton[/name_m] like kwin-tuhn but I think in real life it would sound more like kwin-tin or I would use both pronunciations interchangeably for Quintin/Quinton/Quinten).

[name_m]Quintin[/name_m] is intriguing - I do prefer the [name_m]Quinton[/name_m] spelling, to avoid the [name_u]Quentin[/name_u] mix ups or the slightly similar look to quinine

I like [name_m]Quintin[/name_m]!

Although I’m saying [name_m]Quintin[/name_m] and [name_u]Quentin[/name_u] the same? I’m not sure how you’re pronouncing them so maybe people would say it the way you weren’t intending.

I say them quinn-tin (like Quinn) and quenn-tin (first syllable rhymes with Gwen) so to me they sound different.
