My husband really wants to name our son after a racecar driver. He likes [name]Juan[/name] [name]Pablo[/name] and Ayrton. I don’t find any of these to be acceptable, as we are not latino (hence [name]Juan[/name] [name]Pablo[/name] is ridiculous) and Ayrton just sounds awful.
We have a weird last name, which is more reason to keep the first name within the normal range.
He also likes [name]Tyler[/name]. He said [name]Gunnar[/name] was ok. He doesn’t like much of anything else.
I like [name]Colin[/name].
Any great ideas? We have been through the name books and come up empty. Who knew it would be so hard to name a baby?
What about [name]John[/name] [name]Paul[/name]. That is the English version of [name]Juan[/name] [name]Pablo[/name]. [name]Jack[/name] is a nn for [name]John[/name].

Have you considered [name]Roldan[/name]? I have to admit it looks pretty trendy. The correct Spanish pronunciation is Rol- [name]DAWN[/name]. It is the Spanish version of [name]Roland[/name] which is another possibility.
Maybe save [name]Senna[/name] for a girl? But then everyone will assume it’s a typo for [name]Sienna[/name].

ETA it’s not a bad way of finding boy’s names really. There’s something intrinsically manly about a racecar driver, so the name automatically is masculine by association.
Once I made a list of car names. It was really fun. Let’s see if I can recreate it.

If you’re looking for a more ‘normal’ name, then what about [name]Sebastian[/name]? [name]Sebastian[/name] Vettel is the 2010 World Champion and will likely be the 2011 one as well. There’s also [name]Sebastien[/name] Buemi.
