Rae or rei?

i can’t decide which spelling i should choose

Between the 2, I much prefer [name_u]Rae[/name_u]! It’s more intuitive, and I find it much prettier as well.

[name_m]Rei[/name_m] means “king” so I would use it for a boy. For a girl, I would go with [name_u]Rae[/name_u].

To me [name_m]Rei[/name_m] is the Japanese spelling, and [name_u]Rae[/name_u]/[name_u]Ray[/name_u]/[name_u]Raye[/name_u] is the English spelling. Unless you have Japanese heritage, I think [name_u]Rae[/name_u] would be most intuitive.

I like [name_u]Rae[/name_u]. It’s cute and reminds me of the singer [name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u].
