[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everybody! So I know a few differet people with the name “[name_f]Raelyn[/name_f]” and they all spell it different ways. Now if you were to name your daughter that how would you spell it? And also what are your overall opinions on the name. -[name_u]Dani[/name_u]
I don’t really like it. I find [name_u]Rae[/name_u] and [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] to be somewhat boring middles so putting them together just creates a name that just feels pretty meh. I see the appeal but it doesn’t do anything for me. I’d spell it [name_f]Raelyn[/name_f] personally.
Raelyn is nice and unexpected. I think I prefer the [name_f]Raelyn[/name_f] spelling.
I’d spell it [name_f]Raelynn[/name_f]
I don’t love it, but if I had to I’d spell it [name_f]Raylynn[/name_f].
I don’t like it, unfortunately. It seems obviously made up. All names are made up, but some seem glaringly unnatural like [name_f]Raelyn[/name_f].
Also, it sounds like “railing,” which can have very aggressive connotations IYKWIM
Rosalind (Raw-sa-[name_u]Lynn[/name_u] is how you say it) sounds similar and I like it much more.
Otherwise, I also like [name_u]Riley[/name_u], which has a similar style to [name_f]Raelyn[/name_f].
Raelyn really isn’t my style, but I do think that, or possibly Raelin, is the best spelling. It does sound quite pretty though!
I don’t particularly like it, I must admit. It reminds me too much of railing.
I’d probably spell it [name_f]Raelyn[/name_f] though
I also see railing. Not keen, honestly.
I’d spell it [name_f]Raelyn[/name_f].
I don’t like how made-up it feels. [name_f]Raina[/name_f] [name_f]Lynette[/name_f], maybe, is okay; [name_f]Raelyn[/name_f] does feel like you smooshed [name_u]Rae[/name_u] and [name_u]Lyn[/name_u] together in a way that doesn’t look right. I’d have to go with Raylin for a spelling, though I would never actually use it. Definitely prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] ([name_f]Roz[/name_f]-lin), [name_f]Raina[/name_f], and [name_f]Roslin[/name_f], even, to [name_f]Raelyn[/name_f].
I like it! I think it’s sweet I think I prefer [name_f]Raelynn[/name_f] though, as “[name_u]Lynn[/name_u]” looks more complete to me
I know a girl named Raelin. I’d spell it Raelynne, maybe.
I’d spell it [name_f]Raelyn[/name_f]. Not really my style but I like the nn [name_u]Rae[/name_u]!
it sounds EXTREMELY made up and “southern” to me. I’m definitely not a fan of addinf random suffixes to names such as -lynn or -leigh.
