I really love [name_m]Rafael[/name_m]/Raphael. Thought I would use for a middle name but Im starting to consider it for a first name.
Not sure if I prefer [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] or [name_m]Raphael[/name_m]. I feel like [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] looks better visually but as a nickname I would use [name_m]Raf[/name_m] or [name_m]Raffy[/name_m] so [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] fits the spellings of the nicknames I prefer because Raph or Raphy don’t look right to me. Although you don’t spell out nicknames often. We are also Italian. But [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] might feel more right so not sure yet on spelling.
What do you think of [name_m]Rafael[/name_m]/Raphael [name_m]Casper[/name_m]?
Casper has special significance to me but I go back and forth on whether its a sophisticated name or a low brow one. What are your thoughts? The combination goes together rather well?
[name_m]Rafael[/name_m] / [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is absolutely breathtaking!
I think [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] looks a bit better visually with [name_m]Casper[/name_m], but [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] is usually my preferred spelling. Either one would work well and the nicknames [name_m]Raf[/name_m] & Raffie are so spunky and fun.
[name_u]Love[/name_u], love, love
I pronounce it [name_m]Raf[/name_m]-ee-el. Although in [name_u]California[/name_u] where I live there is town called San [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] and everyone says it [name_m]Raf[/name_m]-elle. I like that pronunciation in some name combinations but its weird because I think the entire state is mispronouncing it!
Rafael [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is great! Since your Italian, I think this spelling would honor your roots. However, both spelling are a good fit with [name_m]Casper[/name_m]
I love it. I like both spellings, but if you’re going to go with [name_m]Raff[/name_m] or [name_m]Raffy[/name_m] for nicknames I’d use [name_m]Rafael[/name_m].
Rafael [name_m]Casper[/name_m], Raffy, is really incredible. It’s super handsome, charming and cheeky. I prefer this spelling over [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] in this combo.
I’m a big fan of the name [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and almost all of its variations so I’m very biased here… But I see [name_m]Casper[/name_m] as a lovely, spunky, slightly nerdy, old sould sounding name. It’s bold but familiar.
There’s something really warm and cozy in the name [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m]. I think because, to me, the vowels a and e have these qualities (quite absurde right?).
Rafael [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is perfection! [name_u]Bright[/name_u], energetic, and approachable, with the perfect balance of warm and crisp sounds. I’m biased because I love [name_m]Casper[/name_m] in general, but this combo is incredible!
Thank you! I was born in [name_m]Casper[/name_m], [name_f]Wyoming[/name_f] so it has significance to me. Didnt live there long though, grew up in [name_u]California[/name_u]. But [name_m]Casper[/name_m] was my dad’s favorite place and he passed away and my brother already used his name as an honor name for his son. I was thinking [name_m]Casper[/name_m] could be another way to honor him and my connection to him - my birthplace.
I just had a son - [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_u]Reese[/name_u]- so this would be if our next child is another boy. But I think [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] make good sibling names.
I like [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m]! [name_m]Raffy[/name_m] is a very cute nickname. I don’t think it would be a problem to mix spellings [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] nn [name_m]Raffy[/name_m]. I personally love the ninja turtle connection
I adore the combo [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m]! I prefer the [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] spelling, especially for nn [name_m]Raffy[/name_m] (which is so cute!)
I love the ninja turtles! If [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] can be so versatile why not [name_m]Raphael[/name_m]. Would love to see [name_m]Donatello[/name_m] and Michaelangelo used more often but they are more obscure I guess
@Rachelhaydenberk I adore both of these names and think they’re perfect together! I definitely don’t think [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is ‘low brow’ and if it has meaning for you then it’s perfect as a middle. I personally love both spellings so I can’t help you there…
Rafael [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is amazing. It’s very masculine, but just dreamy & beautiful too. I much prefer [name_m]Rafael[/name_m]. I think that it looks much sleeker, & to your point, makes a lot more sense w/Raf/Raffy as a nn. I also love the nn [name_u]Rafe[/name_u].
