Raiden?

Hey all,
I know [name_m]Raiden[/name_m] is an odd name but I kinda love it. I love the meaning which is “thunder and lightning”. I also love the way it sounds. I’ve never heard of anyone named [name_m]Raiden[/name_m], nor have I even read it in as a book character.
What do you think of [name_m]Raiden[/name_m]?
Is it usable?
Any opinions on what middle name it should be paired with?

I’ve heard [name_m]Raiden[/name_m] a lot in the Mortal Kombat games but I prefer the [name_m]Rye[/name_m]-[name_m]Den[/name_m] pronunciation more than the [name_u]Ray[/name_u]-[name_m]Den[/name_m]. Ir’s a pretty cool name and definitely usable.

[name_m]Raiden[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]
[name_m]Raiden[/name_m] [name_m]Joel[/name_m]
[name_m]Raiden[/name_m] [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_m]Raiden[/name_m] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Raiden[/name_m] [name_u]Lane[/name_u]
[name_m]Raiden[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]

[name_m]Raiden[/name_m] is pronounced [name_m]Ry[/name_m]-den, but people will most likely pronounce it wrong. If you are going with the pronunciation [name_u]Ray[/name_u]-den I don’t like it at all. All the [name_u]Brayden[/name_u] [name_u]Hayden[/name_u] [name_u]Jaden[/name_u] [name_m]Kaiden[/name_m] [name_m]Zayden[/name_m] names are so annoying and overused by now

Really not my style at all because I think all [name_u]Aidan[/name_u]/[name_u]Brayden[/name_u]/[name_m]Kaiden[/name_m] etc names are really over done, but I do think it fits nicely in that group (with either pronunciation, but I prefer [name_m]Rye[/name_m]-don event though it invites mispronunciation). It’s definitely usable, so if you love it, go for it. That’s what matters most.

It definitely strikes me as yet another riff on the [name_u]Aiden[/name_u]/[name_u]Brayden[/name_u]/[name_m]Cayden[/name_m]/[name_u]Jayden[/name_u] megatrend, assuming the pronunciation is ray-den. Spelled [name_m]Raiden[/name_m], most people will probably assume the ray-den pronunciation; I don’t think rye-den is intuitive from this spelling.

It’s not my style but, subjectivity aside, from a practical standpoint it sounds a lot like radon and immediately made me think of radiation.

Not a fan.
