I like [name_u]Rain[/name_u] and [name_f]Raine[/name_f]. I’m not a fan or [name_f]Rayne[/name_f] or [name_u]Reign[/name_u], which seems to be the name de jour of B-list celebrities right now.

I don’t know if this matters to you, but [name_f]Reine[/name_f] is actually pronounced like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] in [name_m]French[/name_m].

Thanks, I didn’t know about the pronunciation of [name_f]Reine[/name_f]. It’s not my favoured spelling anyway… it looks incomplete compared to [name_f]Raine[/name_f].

I am biased, my daughter’s name is [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f] [name_u]Reign[/name_u] and I love it. I don’t keep up with celebrity gossip at all so I never knew it was a thing. lol but I truly love my daughters name.

I voted for [name_u]Rain[/name_u]. The others are tacky imo.

[name_u]Rain[/name_u] or [name_f]Raine[/name_f]… do not care for the others at all… I like [name_u]Rain[/name_u] the most!

I love [name_f]Raine[/name_f]. I actually have it paired with [name_f]Cadence[/name_f] ([name_f]Cadence[/name_f] [name_f]Raine[/name_f]). [name_u]Rain[/name_u] seems too wordy, and [name_f]Rayne[/name_f] is cute but doesn’t look right. [name_u]Reign[/name_u] seems too masculine to me, and [name_f]Reine[/name_f] doesn’t look complete. I love the spelling [name_f]Raine[/name_f], though. Have you considered [name_f]Raina[/name_f]?

[name_f]Raine[/name_f], definitely! It is one of my top middle name choices for my twin daughter!

Lots of votes for [name_u]Rain[/name_u] so far, and I do get the appeal, but something about [name_f]Raine[/name_f] seems a little more “namey” to me.

I say do what you love, one of the pp’s said my daughters middle name is ‘tacky’ (along with the other spellings) lol but I don’t care because I absolutely love her name. So if you love [name_f]Raine[/name_f], I would go for it. :wink:

I love the name [name_f]Raine[/name_f]. I always spell it [name_f]Raine[/name_f] when I pair it.

They have different meanings, so I would go with the meaning you like the best.

I prefer [name_u]Rain[/name_u]. I like the sweet simplicity and the associations it has as a word.

I prefer [name_u]Rain[/name_u] and I find [name_f]Raine[/name_f] to be okay. It does look slightly more complete. Not to rain on your parade (heehee) but you didn’t consider [name_f]Rane[/name_f]?

[name_u]Rain[/name_u], but I also like [name_f]Rayne[/name_f] ok especially on a boy or as a family name

Either [name_u]Rain[/name_u] or [name_u]Reign[/name_u], the others just look too kre8tive. [name_m]Just[/name_m] depends on if you want to go the nature route or the regal route.
