Rainie as a nn for?

Hey Berries!

So I am starting to fall in love with the name [name]Rainie[/name], but I really doubt it is strong enough to stand on its own if you get what I mean, so I was wondering if you can help me think of any names that could have [name]Rainie[/name] as a nickname?

Thanks so much

Some of these are a bit of a stretch…

[name]Raina[/name]
[name]Ariana[/name]
[name]Ariane[/name]
[name]Regina[/name]
[name]Wren[/name]
[name]Rhiannon[/name]
[name]Ramona[/name]
[name]Miranda[/name]
[name]Marina[/name]
[name]Katarina[/name]

Thanks for replying! I love a lot of the names you suggested but [name]Marina[/name] and [name]Ramona[/name] are my favourites for the nickname [name]Rainie[/name]

If anyone else has any suggestions I would love to see them

You could use [name]Lorraine[/name] with the nn [name]Rainie[/name].

Yep, I think [name]Ramona[/name] is great with a spunky, fresh nickname like [name]Rainie[/name]! My neighbor is Ronicha (rah-neesh-ah), so that could work, too…

[name]Lemon[/name]

[name]Lorraine[/name] would work great.
other ideas-
[name]Renee[/name]
[name]Lorena[/name]
[name]Morena[/name]
Rayann, Rayanna
[name]Renata[/name]

[name]Hi[/name]! I was wondering how you are saying “[name]Rainie[/name]”… is it like [name]Ray[/name]-ann or [name]Rain[/name]-ee or [name]Ra[/name]-nay. I was just curious, I really like it for a nickname or middle name. [name]TY[/name].

[name]Iris[/name]

She was the goddess of rainbows in Greek mythology. Rainbows, rain, [name]Rainy[/name].

First name that comes to mind is [name]Lorraine[/name] or [name]Larraine[/name]. Another one is Lareina.

I gave my grandmother ([name]Loraine[/name]) the nickname [name]Rainie[/name] when I was little - it was perfect for her!

I have a friend that is just [name]Rainie[/name] on her own, though spelled [name]Rainey[/name]. She is named after her aunt [name]Lorraine[/name].

This thread is almost 3 yrs old… [name]Just[/name] sayin

Ha! Thanks [name]Alexa[/name].

I actually know a couple of Raney’s, also spelled [name]Rainey[/name]. I dont think its odd on its own actually! Plus I dont usually go for naming based on a nickname…just gp with what you would like to call her

And I thought having my name [name]Reine[/name] pronounced [name]Ray[/name]-ann was bad.

Sorry, that’s kind of rude. But, I’m really a fickler about name pronunciations. Please, people, use a bit of common sense when pronouncing names.
