"-ram" names

Hey! What are your thoughts on these names ending in -ram?

[name_m]Abram[/name_m]
[name_m]Bertram[/name_m]
[name_m]Byram[/name_m]
[name_m]Ephram[/name_m]
[name_m]Ingram[/name_m]
Wolfram
[name_m]Zephram[/name_m]

Are they usable? Which is your favourite? What do you think of the nickname [name_u]Remy[/name_u]?

Which other names come to mind when you see these? I’m not looking for more names with the -ram ending, but names with a similar ‘feel’.

Thanks for your help!

I like [name_m]Ingram[/name_m] and Wolfram! The -ram names make me think of traditional, strong, more “obscure” names.

I personally really like [name_m]Ephram[/name_m] and Wolfram. I think [name_m]Byram[/name_m] and [name_m]Ingram[/name_m] would be usable.

The way I say the names, Rumy would make a more logical nn but you could definitely get away with [name_u]Remy[/name_u] and I think it would be more flattering.

That’s a great list from PP- I would add [name_u]Ira[/name_u], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u], [name_m]Samson[/name_m], and [name_m]Hiram[/name_m] to the list of similar feeling names.

Of your list, [name_m]Bertram[/name_m] is my favorite. Not sure about nn ‘[name_u]Remy[/name_u]’… (I’d probably lean toward ‘[name_u]Bertie[/name_u]’ myself.)

A few other suggestions I’d add to the long list above:
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m]
[name_m]Norman[/name_m]
[name_m]Roger[/name_m]
[name_m]Amos[/name_m]
[name_m]Elmer[/name_m]
[name_m]Mortimer[/name_m]
[name_m]Bram[/name_m]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m]
[name_m]Abel[/name_m]
[name_u]Howard[/name_u]

Thank you so much for your feedback and suggestions! I love so many of the names you have listed.

My favourites are: [name_m]Amias[/name_m], [name_m]Corentin[/name_m], [name_m]Cedric[/name_m], [name_u]Dorian[/name_u], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_u]Maxime[/name_u], [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], [name_m]Stellan[/name_m], [name_m]Thorin[/name_m], [name_m]Victor[/name_m], [name_m]Walter[/name_m], [name_m]Samson[/name_m], [name_m]Amos[/name_m], [name_m]Mortimer[/name_m], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_m]Isadore[/name_m], [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], [name_m]Casper[/name_m], [name_m]Ernest[/name_m], [name_m]Alfred[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Ivo[/name_m] and [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] ”

I think [name_m]Abram[/name_m] is the most approachable, but [name_m]Zephram[/name_m] is also a unique pick and reminds me of the somewhat-familiar [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]. [name_m]Bertram[/name_m], [name_m]Byram[/name_m], and [name_m]Ephram[/name_m] all seem a bit too stuffy but I could easily see them in the middle spot. [name_m]Ingram[/name_m] feels more like a surname to me. Wolfram feels a bit trendier and out-there.

Some names that come to mind (sorry for any repeats!):
[name_m]Albert[/name_m]
[name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m]
[name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]
[name_m]Patrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]
[name_m]Benedict[/name_m]
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m]
[name_m]Walter[/name_m]
[name_m]Edwin[/name_m]
