what’s everyone’s genuine thoughts on this name?? i never thought it was my style, but i’m really loving it

also would Romy work as a nn for Ramona or would Romona be better?? i prefer Ramona but i love Romy so i’m a little stuck

I absolutely love this name! We have a neighbour with this name and my son calls her [name_f]Mona[/name_f] ! But I think [name_u]Romy[/name_u] works too !

I like the name a lot, it’s very pretty! I think [name_u]Romy[/name_u] can work, nicknames don’t have to match the original name.
I personally prefer [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] over [name_f]Romona[/name_f] too, so definitely use [name_u]Romy[/name_u] for [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] ! ^^

I love it and have been crushing on it lately as well (I’m rereading the [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] books with my daughter). It’s feisty and retro and a little bit rock n roll. [name_u]Romy[/name_u] definitely works for short.

I LOVE THIS name and think it’s due for a revival. I love the nn [name_u]Romy[/name_u] so sweet. I can see this girl being smart and spunky, similar to how I picture a [name_u]Sloane[/name_u].

I love it too! I would stick with the [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] spelling; [name_u]Romy[/name_u] from it totally works.

It’s adorable! I’d love to meet a little [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]. I grew up reading the books by [name_u]Beverly[/name_u] [name_m]Cleary[/name_m], so the name just makes me feel happy and nostalgic. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I think [name_u]Romy[/name_u] works perfectly fine as a nn!

ramona is striking and gorgeous, yet still quirky and hipster-esque! it’s been on my list since i heard the bob dylan song “to ramona” and it was also my name in spanish class.

romy absolutely works as a nickname!
