I really like the RAHN-yah pronunciation! It’s fairly common where I’m from so I’m quite used to it, but I really like the sound – I think it has the same fashionable international appeal as the similar [name_f]Anya[/name_f]! It’s a fun and versatile name.

I could see some people maybe defaulting to something like “RAIN-ee-uh” at first glance, but it feels like a name people would quickly catch on to. Totally get why it’s growing on you!

I am revising my Arabic on DuoLingo, and this is name that features there often, so that would be my primary association! But I am also reminded of [name_f]Queen[/name_f] [name_f]Rania[/name_f] of [name_m]Jordan[/name_m]. It seems to me a very beautiful and regal name.
