Rank my names by age!

Stealing @may.rose’s idea

What would be the birth order for a sibling set of these names:

Elizabeth, Catherine, Anna, Thomas, William, & Benjamin?

ETA - I’d love to see your explanations why too!!

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]- for me it just has the older sibling/sister vibe
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]William[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] - I think it’s just bc I knew someone who was called [name_f]Baby[/name_f] [name_f]Annie[/name_f] by their family, who was the youngest

From oldest to youngest:

[name_f]William[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]

Explanation:

I’ve noticed people often name their eldest more ‘familiar’ names, then use slightly more unique ones for their younger ones - or, the first sibs are all very cohesive, and then last baby has something a bit different.

So

[name_f]William[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] feel like elegant, solid classics, timeless and strong. Then [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] - such as classic and solid, however, far less used on a baby these days, so sticking with the same style but branching out a bit. Finally, the baby of the family, [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. Another sweet classic, more popular than [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], but visually, so much shorter, with a bit more kick and energy

W gives me strong eldest energy, C feels very big sister, A T and E feels like middle kids but A is for sure the oldest of the three and once you consider possible nicknames E feels the youngest, and then B has sweet baby brother vibes.

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - oldest sister/daughter vibe, care-taking personality, responsible
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] - oldest brother/son vibe, protective and loving
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]William[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] - can’t explain the vibe but [name_f]Anna[/name_f], in this sibset, gives me the youngest energy

Tbh, this would probably be how I’d put them too.

[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]William[/name_f]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]

[name_m]Just[/name_m] chose based on “vibes,” but I think [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] feels like a youngest sibling name to me because of the biblical [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].

Hard to say why exactly but I notice that parents tend to use slightly more adventurous and less formal names for their younger kids, and also I know a family with six kids who have similar style names so it might be somewhat influenced by them

Explanation: To me, [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]William[/name_f] are all very solid, long, classic and familiar names. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] especially feel like big sister names. [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] then feels like the classic middle child, a cheeky little boy which [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] definitely suits. [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] is Thomas’ little sidekick, who feels very solid and long still but a tad more uncommon in this set. Then [name_f]Anna[/name_f] has to be the youngest, very sweet and shorter than the others with lots of energy.

(Oldest to youngest)

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_f]William[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]

Not sure if I can explain why very clearly haha. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] feel grand, regal, and older sister-ish. All the boys feel somewhat youthful and boyish, but [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] has fun older brother vibes. [name_f]William[/name_f] has could be the oldest, but is actually in the middle and more mature. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] just feels younger and more innocent. [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] is a cute name, although I was debating between [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and William’s order.
