Rare surnames as first names

Need name for baby #5!! I like very rare names but something still usable.

Not sure gender yet but I lean towards gender neutral surnames.

I like so far: Copeland*, [name_m]Calloway[/name_m], [name_f]Monroe[/name_f], Hyland* and Lockhart

[name_f]Monroe[/name_f] is my favorite! Itā€™s also by far the most gender neutral of the ones you listed. I love the nickname ā€œmoeā€ for a boy or girl, too! I also like [name_m]Calloway[/name_m], nicknames [name_f]Callie[/name_f] or [name_m]Cal[/name_m] are very pleasant :hugs:

Rowell ! I love this name but in our dialect of [name_f]English[/name_f] it sounds more like ā€œrollā€ so we canā€™t use it :frowning:

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Callahan[/name_m], I just keeping seeing it on baby name lists so Iā€™m worried it will be not super rare in a few years

Very true! [name_m]Calloway[/name_m] is a better option then if you want something more rare!

Iā€™ll offer a sliver of advice since you said you love the name and you ought to strongly consider a name you love- popular names arenā€™t nearly as popular as they used to be. Example, even for the top names [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_m]Liam[/name_m] there will only be one or two in every 200 kids or so. [name_m]Callahan[/name_m] is ranked at #518 and projected to peak at #394 so by that logic (even though I canā€™t do the mathšŸ˜‚) youā€™d have to meet a LOT of little babes before finding another [name_m]Callahan[/name_m]! but, Iā€™m also not sure exactly how rare of a name youā€™re looking for. So just throwing that out there!
