I am a literature professor and my SO is a Shakespeare actor- our natural choice is Rosalind for a baby name but we’ve been wondering about the available nicknames
Our favorite NN is “Sal” but we are wondering if it is possible/natural for a girl named Rosalind to go by Sal… what do you think?
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] is my favorite but I think [name_u]Sal[/name_u] totally works! I love [name_u]Sal[/name_u] for a girl.
I also like [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]

[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] is my favorite of your options! I also second [name_f]Lindy[/name_f], and [name_u]Indy[/name_u] is such cute too!

I like [name_f]Roz[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] but [name_u]Sal[/name_u] is really cool too - I think if you were to use it and ‘lead as an example’, others would catch onto it

[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] is my personal favourite (although I also love [name_f]Ro[/name_f], [name_u]Rose[/name_u] and Rosa) but I think [name_u]Sal[/name_u] would be a really cool choice! I’m sure if you call her [name_u]Sal[/name_u] at home and that’s what you introduce her as, people will find it perfectly natural
