Apolline: 9/10! Gorgeously evocative and wholesome name! However, I’m still not fully decided on this name since it is new to me.
Audrey: 8/10! Audrey Hepburn’s such a classy, inspiring namesake. Not wild about the “odd” syllable, but I think I’m being unfair. I’ve known many beautiful Audreys, so I think it’s a warm and glamorous name
Briar: 3/10! Awkward sounding to me.
Eleanor: 6/10! Frumpy, but I understand the regal appeal and I love its nicknames!
Elia: 5/10! I’m not familiar with this name so it seems made up.
Eva: 9/10! Love! Lack of clear pronunciation, though.
Eve: 9/10! Love! But kind of serious sounding.
Genevieve: 9/10! Love! Slightly too grand for me, but I think it can definitely work for others. And I’m always stunned when I hear it.
Harper: 6/10! Harper Lee is a great namesake and it’s friendly sounding, but Harper isn’t very romantic.
Isla: 7/10! Sprightly, but the prominent “Eye” sound at the beginning makes me think it will be frumpy someday.
Lila: 7/10! Very pretty, but again, the “Lie” syllable is too strong for me.
Mabel: 6.5/10! Cute, but will def be frumpy since it was when I was growing up.
Marie: 8/10! “Marie, the baguettes!”
Très chic and light — I used to find it frumpy, but it’s growing on me. A lot!
Opal: 5/10! Frumpy.
Ophelia: 8/10! Gorgeously rich sound, but slightly too grand for me. And the “feel” syllable is off-putting for me.
Romilly: 4/10! I don’t get the appeal with this one.
