Raven...usable?

Word names aren’t typically my style but I’m crushing hard on [name_u]Raven[/name_u] lately. I love how it sounds phonetically, I love the nn option of [name_u]Rae[/name_u], and I think it’s spunky and beautiful all in one. (Bonus that I love the connection to [name_u]Poe[/name_u].) But…I wonder if it’s a bit out there or it seems like one of those “trying too hard” names. Plus it’s so completely different from my other naming styles so I’m wondering if I should just keep this as a guilty pleasure name. What do you guys think about [name_u]Raven[/name_u]?

[name_u]Raven[/name_u] is an interesting name. I don’t like word names, but this one is intriguing, very mysterious

I think it’s definitely usable as I love [name_u]Raven[/name_u] [name_f]Symone[/name_f], and that’s the only person I know (well, I don’t know her but…) with that name.

I think it’s definitely useable. It’s a word name, but not a word we use every day, and it has some history of usage as a name. I really like it!

I love [name_u]Raven[/name_u]! I think it’s a great name for a little girl. The only association I really have is the X-Men character [name_f]Mystique[/name_f], whose real name is [name_u]Raven[/name_u], but I think that one’s fine. I like the [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] [name_m]Allan[/name_m] [name_u]Poe[/name_u] association too!

I like [name_u]Raven[/name_u] as well. I actually knew a girl with this name in high school and it fit her well. Its definitely usable to me! I also like [name_f]Ravenna[/name_f].

I prefer [name_f]Ravenna[/name_f], but I like [name_u]Raven[/name_u]. The nature-y but not cute feel is really nice. Kestrel and [name_u]Raven[/name_u] have a very different feel to me than [name_f]Lark[/name_f] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. I don’t like the thing where boy nature names tend to be strong and girls’ nature names tend to be adorable.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it, definitely usable in my opinion!

I had a student named [name_u]Raven[/name_u]. She’s super driven, mature, and creative. Plus, she’s an activist. [name_u]Raven[/name_u] is 21 now, so it’s easy for me to see it on an adult too. It’s definitely usable!

I went to school with a boy named [name_u]Raven[/name_u] actually, and he carried it no problem. I think it would be sweet on a little girl

I went to school with a couple of Ravens (who would all be in their thirties now) so yes, I think it’s useable.

It’s usable, but I don’t like it.

I like [name_u]Raven[/name_u]. Definitely usable for me. Absolutely love the connection to [name_u]Poe[/name_u] as well!

While not my style, [name_u]Raven[/name_u] is certainly usable and I wouldn’t think twice if I met a girl named [name_u]Raven[/name_u]. Easy to spell, easy to pronounce. If it’s your style, it seems like a winner!
