Raven?

I love the name [name_u]Raven[/name_u] - do you think it would work with a light-skinned, blondeish child? Or would that be weird?

I think [name_u]Raven[/name_u] could work on anyone, dark-haired, light-haired, dark-eyed, or light-eyed. I don’t think names (like [name_u]Raven[/name_u], [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Jade[/name_f], [name_f]Ebony[/name_f], [name_f]Melanie[/name_f], ect…) have to match the complexion and colouring of the person with that name.

I could see it on a fair, blonde child. I know a lot of people who would only be able to see it on a darker-haired/skinned, child, but it could really work for anybody no matter what they look like.

I think [name_u]Raven[/name_u] would definitely work for a child with lighter coloring!

I grew up watching That’s So [name_u]Raven[/name_u], so I’ll admit my image of the name is very tied to [name_u]Raven[/name_u]-[name_m]Symon[/name_m]é. I don’t see why it can’t work on the child you’ve described though.

I personally don’t like it, it just conjures up an image of someone with dark hair and dark makeup to me. But I’ve always thought of it as a dark name, so don’t mind me, if you like it, use it.

Sure it will work, but why would you do that?
