After deciding to drop [name_u]James[/name_u] off of [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] I’ve been on a search for a new middle for [name_u]James[/name_u].
So far I have been tossing around:
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Godfrey[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Roland[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Seneca[/name_u]
[name_u]James[/name_u] Leofwin - I absolutely adore this name, but I can definitely see pronunciation issues in the future.
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Casimir[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Serafin[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Walter[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Lucian[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
Thoughts? Suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. The one name I absolutely can’t use is [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] because it’s my nephews name just spelt a bit differently.
I love your combos. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u], [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], and -
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites are [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Walter[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m], and [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m]. [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] is pretty cool (rad!) too Keepers for sure. You’ve definitely got some very handsome combinations here.
I’m not fond of [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Roland[/name_m] though. It just doesn’t feel special enough.
I really like [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Godfrey[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] with the names in your sig. Other middles could be: [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], [name_m]Aloysius[/name_m], [name_m]Alastair[/name_m], [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m], Goodwin, [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m], [name_m]Finnian[/name_m], [name_m]Montague[/name_m]
And what a shame it is to see [name_u]James[/name_u] showing up as orange
I love [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Walter[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Lucian[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m].
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites are [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]. They’re both really strong names! I also like [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m].
@charlieandperry1
Thank you for the suggestions. I like [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m]. I also like [name_m]Alastair[/name_m]/[name_m]Alasdair[/name_m], but it’s too close to [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]. I also love [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. It’s seems like I’m attracted to most [name_m]Al[/name_m]- names., but I can’t use them all.
It makes me sad because [name_u]James[/name_u] is such a great classic masculine name. but I keep seeing it used on girls.

I do love [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], but because of the religious connections I’ve moved it to my guilty pleasure list. I’m now tossing around [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Katarina[/name_f].
I like [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] and Leofwin. They both really make [name_u]James[/name_u] more interesting. I would’t worry too much about pronunciation of the middle. It just isn’t used much unless you call him by his mn. Go ahead and use what you love.
Thank you lerenard for the reassurance in using Leofwin! I originally had Leofwin as a first name, but I thought there would be major pronunciation issues, so I moved it to the guilty pleasure spot until I paired it with [name_u]James[/name_u]. I adore it and love with a hypothetical brother name [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]. I think they fit each other well.
I’ve now narrowed it down to [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Godfrey[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] Leofwin. [name_u]James[/name_u] is such a common name that I wanted to use a uncommon name with it and [name_m]Godfrey[/name_m] and Leofwin fits perfectly to me. So far I have two solid combinations for [name_m]Roland[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u]! I have so many more girl favorites so I’m excited to extend my boys list.
