[name_m]Ah[/name_m], the [name_u]London[/name_u] Telegraph. My eternal source of baby name inspiration. Here is the best of the bunch for the past few weeks…
I always look forward to the Telegraph post. Thank you sarahmezz

[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] Boehme - could the mn be [name_f]Boheme[/name_f]?

[name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] (brother [name_m]Isaac[/name_m])
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] combos. So many names that are common in the UK, we rarely hear in the US.
The only one I’m not sure of as a name-- [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] would have a hard time getting past her pancake association here in the States. However, with all the kids named car names ([name_f]Camry[/name_f], [name_u]Lexus[/name_u], [name_f]Mercedes[/name_f], [name_u]Bentley[/name_u], etc), I think Americans are embracing brand names, or possibly moving beyond the brand name associations.
Oh my goodness, I just swooned over the middle name [name_m]Montague[/name_m]! Couldn’t even look at the rest of the list first, just had to post my love of it immediately
I don’t think you can compare [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] and [name_f]Mercedes[/name_f] with the other names you mentioned ([name_f]Camry[/name_f], [name_u]Lexus[/name_u] and [name_u]Bentley[/name_u]). [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] is a Biblical name of great depth and history and [name_f]Mercedes[/name_f] is a name often given to honour the Virgin [name_f]Mary[/name_f] (our Lady of Mercies) so for me they’re very different than naming your child [name_u]Lexus[/name_u] (or [name_u]Armani[/name_u] or [name_f]Chanel[/name_f] for that matter). I think [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] is ready to shed the negative and racist images of the past but I don’t know if [name_u]America[/name_u] is wiling to embrace her just yet.
