Redmond?

What do you think of the name [name_m]Redmond[/name_m] and the nn [name_u]Red[/name_u]? I quite like it but don’t know if others would find it odd.

I don’t find it odd. It’s similar enough to [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] that I think it could work. [name_u]Red[/name_u] is cute.

Redmond is cool! I think it would make a great name for a boy today – not odd at all.

I like [name_m]Redmond[/name_m] too!! I’m in the same dilemma… don’t know if I like [name_m]Rexford[/name_m] (nn [name_u]Rex[/name_u]) or [name_m]Redmond[/name_m] (nn [name_u]Rex[/name_u]/Red) more.

I feel like [name_m]Redmond[/name_m] is easier to say, it’s much softer… but people would probably mispronounce it for [name_m]Edmond[/name_m]?

I do think that people may mispronounce [name_m]Redmond[/name_m] as [name_m]Edmond[/name_m], but I think that [name_u]Red[/name_u] is a pretty distinct nn that wouldn’t be confused with [name_m]Ed[/name_m] or [name_m]Eddy[/name_m].
