Redmund ❤️

What do you think of Redmund? Nickname [name_u]Red[/name_u].

I’ve also heard Mundy which is quite quirky.

Thanks,

I have to say I prefer [name_m]Edmund[/name_m].

I like it! Reminds me of [name_u]Red[/name_u] [name_m]Gerard[/name_m] from the [name_u]Winter[/name_u] Olympics in 2018.

Redmund nn [name_u]Red[/name_u] is really cool!

Cute, i like the spelling [name_m]Redmond[/name_m] slightly more. [name_u]Red[/name_u] and [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] make cute nicknames!!

[name_m]Redmund[/name_m] looks too much like [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]-with-an-R. I kind of dislike it, and prefer [name_m]Edmund[/name_m].
However, I think [name_m]Redmond[/name_m] is quite nice! It has a nature-y vibe to me, though I’m not sure why. I think nickname [name_u]Red[/name_u] is really cool. Mundy/Mondy are cute too, but [name_u]Red[/name_u] is more intuitive and it’d be a shame not to use it for [name_m]Redmond[/name_m]/Redmund!

I like [name_m]Redmund[/name_m]/Redmond. The main character in [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] Kubrick’s Barry [name_m]Lyndon[/name_m] is named [name_m]Redmond[/name_m] - I love that film! [name_u]Red[/name_u] is a nice nickname.

Ohhhh I have never considered this name before but I am actually LOVING it!!!

Red , [name_m]Ed[/name_m], Muddy . I think Muddy on a toddler is literally the perfect nickname.

I like it! I also prefer [name_m]Redmond[/name_m]—makes it more distinct from [name_m]Edmund[/name_m].

I like it a lot, but definitely prefer the [name_m]Redmond[/name_m] spelling, which is the more familiar one to me.

@pam might appreciate this one!

[name_u]Red[/name_u] is a very cool nickname; I also like similar names like [name_m]Redding[/name_m] (inspired by [name_m]Otis[/name_m]) or [name_m]Redwood[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Woody[/name_m]?)

I like surnames so I think it’s good. I like [name_m]Redford[/name_m] too.

That’s right! And [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] O’[name_u]Neal[/name_u] and [name_f]Farrah[/name_f] Fawcett named their son [name_m]Redmond[/name_m], though he has been a troubled person which clouds the name for me as a first name (much as I love having it as a last).

Redding is brilliant. [name_m]Redwood[/name_m] might inspire tree jokes, especially in [name_u]California[/name_u], and I can tell you via a mom friend of mine who named her son [name_m]Woodrow[/name_m]/Woody – he did NOT appreciate it when he hit adolescence. Never having been a 13-year-old boy, the teasing potential didn’t even occur to me before she described how painful it was for him.

LMK what you think!!

I’ve taught a [name_m]Redmond[/name_m] ‘[name_u]Red[/name_u]’; I prefer this spelling I think. I can’t say I’m a massive fan though… I also prefer [name_m]Edmund[/name_m].

I think I prefer the spelling [name_m]Redmond[/name_m], because [name_m]Redmund[/name_m] reminds me to R-[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]. I had [name_m]Redmond[/name_m], “[name_u]Red[/name_u]” on my list for a long time. I think [name_u]Red[/name_u] is a pretty cool nickname

It just for me. I think it sounds clunky like two words just tossed together. But I think [name_u]Red[/name_u] would be a cute NN.
