Regular status?

I’m just wondering what the criteria for the status of a regular/ level 3 is? I was granted it yesterday and now I don’t have it, it’s not a big deal I’m just really curious how I lost it so fast because it was kind of cool

I’d be interested to know too as I had the same thing happen to me. I had been a member a while back, became less active so lost access over time. But yesterday I was granted it again before losing it very quickly this morning.

This happened to me too and someone can probably explain it better than I can but the gist is there was a huge influx of people admitted to the Lounge last night (around 800) as a way to make peace, and people had been posting private/sensitive information to that smaller group and didn’t want it shared with so many other people who technically hadn’t earned it yet. To keep Lounge members from being uncomfortable, my guess is they removed everyone who wasn’t a member before yesterday. I did notice there’s a new category called “The Berries,” however :eyes:

If that’s the case, that would make sense, but I wish they would tell us that. [name_m]The[/name_m] past couple of days have been a whirlwind.

I also think this has something to do with the new subscription model for forum access. From what I understand, to be a Lounge member, you also had to qualify as a Regular member. I think they’re still trying to find the best way to preserve our free access to the forums without undermining the existing rules or the Lounge’s exclusivity. My guess is that they decided granting Regular status instantly to 800 Berries wasn’t the best approach.

I was a Regular member a few years ago, but I lost that status because I’ve been much less active.

I’m not sure if this is updated, but to reach [name_m]Trust[/name_m] Level 3, within the last 100 days you had to:

  • visit the forum on at least 50% of the days.
  • reply to at least 10 different public (non-PM) topics.
  • view at least 25% of the topics created in the last 100 days (up to a maximum of 500 topics).
  • read at least 25% of the posts created in the last 100 days (up to a maximum of 20,000 posts).
  • receive at least 20 likes and give at least 30 likes.
  • receive no more than 5 spam or offensive flags (each from a different user on a different post, and confirmed by a moderator).
  • not have been suspended or silenced within the last 6 months.

Hey everyone – When I created the new group to give frequent visitors who weren’t Lounge members free forum access, I accidentally promoted everyone to Level 3 which gave everyone Lounge status. We actually had to rewrite the entire api to correct which took all last night. It’s fixed now and sorry you don’t have Lounge access or Level 3 but I believe you’re still able to earn that in the usual way.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] wanted to link to this post since the actual requirements to reach the Lounge are slightly different to the standard Discourse ones - I believe the main difference is that it considers the last 200 days rather than 100.
