I think [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] is pretty much up my lane when it comes to names! It’s both a star name and has literary ties to a rather tragic character. Not much of a fan of its intuitive nicknames (like [name_m]Reg[/name_m] or Reggie), but I do love [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] as a name and its meaning as well!
As for your list, I think my favorites have to be:
[name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] - reminiscent of [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_m]Arcturus[/name_m] [name_m]Black[/name_m] (which I love), but not as heavy to wear as a name. I think [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] softens and grounds the name pretty well.
[name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_u]Léo[/name_u] - hooray for constellation names! Though, I’m more a fan of [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_m]Léon[/name_m], as I think it flows better and gives the combo more finality or like a closed end than Leo/Léo? (Regulus [name_u]Leo[/name_u] feels like it needs another middle to close it off. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] that explains it better!)
[name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_u]Henry[/name_u] - love the meaning, and I think [name_u]Henry[/name_u] softens, grounds, and makes the combo more wearable, just as much as [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] does!
Others worth mentioning:
[name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_m]Victor[/name_m], [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_u]Wolf[/name_u], and [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_m]Emil[/name_m]
I imagine an awful lot of people (myself included) will think of Potter first with this one, but looking past that it’s a great name in its own right!
I love the unabashedly ornate Regulus Aurelio as well as the softer and perhaps more wearable Regulus Henry and Regulus Arthur (both very kingly names!).
I’m glad this post was made. I love [name_m]Regulus[/name_m], though it’s too brave for me. One of my leading girl names include [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] and with [name_m]Regulus[/name_m], it would seem as if I deliberated the [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] theme, something I’ve been trying to shake off.
I love [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_m]Aurelio[/name_m], [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_u]Leo[/name_u] (Regulus is the brightest star in the constellation of Leo!), [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_u]Wolf[/name_u], [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u], and [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_u]Henry[/name_u].
[name_f]My[/name_f] only association is [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] sadly, but it could make a cool name - maybe with the more familiar nickname of [name_u]Reggie[/name_u] if needed!
[name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_u]Henry[/name_u], [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_m]Otto[/name_m] and [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_m]Nikolai[/name_m] are my faves from your options!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_u]Rosen[/name_u] and [name_m]Regulus[/name_m] [name_m]Nikolai[/name_m] are my favorites from tue ones you like!
[name_m]Regulus[/name_m] is regal👑, handsome, rich and cultured sounding, historic sounding, comes with a pretty cool [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] association, and has an air of mystique. It’s a boys’ name I love and is sorely underused. I personally would be most likely to put it in the middle but I’ll give you some combos with it in both places.
For the US, it sounds to me like a laxative, or a probiotic yogurt that [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] would advertise, but in other countries, it is probably fine. (I am not a [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] fan so I didn’t know it related to that).
