[name]How[/name] would you pronounce this name?
I would say [name]Ray[/name]-uh. Basically like [name]Raina[/name] without the N.
I prefer the more straight forward [name]Raya[/name] if this is the pronunciation you’re going for.
I like classical [name]Rhea[/name] loads more-- and I too would say ‘ray-uh.’ Rhymes with princess [name]Leia[/name].
I would think like [name]Reina[/name] - which is ray-na, so like [name]Ray[/name]-a?
I’ve known Rayas before, and someone who pronounced their name rye-ah as well, but I don’t know how she spelled it. Eastern European backgrounds.
[name]Ria[/name] (ree-ah) is appealing. I like the concept of [name]Rhea[/name] but worry about “diarrhea.”
[name]Ree[/name]- uh… Yes, as in diarrhea. First thought that came to mind.
I’d pronunce it [name]Ray[/name]-uh. I prefer it much more than [name]Rhea[/name].
I know 2 girls called [name]Rye[/name]-uh but it’s spelled Rya in both instances.
[name]Both[/name] Eastern European & Jewish so maybe connected to that background
[name]Ray[/name]-uh, and I also like it way more than [name]Rhea[/name]. It’s really pretty, actually.
If I were calling attendance and a kid had this name, I’d probably be like, “…[name]RAY[/name]-uh…???” [name]One[/name] of those names that has a question mark at the end. [name]Rhea[/name] would be such a lovely namesake, and has clearer pronunciation [name]IMO[/name]. [name]Just[/name] the thought that someone might pronounce Reia like [name]REE[/name]-uh would not be great
[name]Ray[/name]-ah is the pronounciation that the parents are looking for. My friend just found out she is expecting a girl Her husband loves the name [name]Raya[/name], but they are looking at different spellings. [name]Raya[/name] is sometimes pronounced [name]Rye[/name]-ah.
What about Raeya?
I personally love the sound of the name <3
Ditto for me!
I’d pronounce it ray-uh.
I’d pronounce it [name]Ray[/name]-ah.
I pronounce [name]Rhea[/name] as [name]Ree[/name]-ah
And [name]Raya[/name] I wouldn’t be sure if it was [name]Ray[/name]-ah or [name]Rye[/name]-ah (rhymes with [name]Maya[/name])
I definitely think Reia is the best spelling
