Renaming myself-need middle names for Rhiannon

After years of hating my name, I have finally decided to change it. I picked the name [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] because I think it’s the most beautiful name ever and the backstory behind it is amazing.

However, I’m stuck on which middle names I like best. but I have some ideas.

[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]-[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] was my great grandmas middle name and I think it’s beautiful. But it’s also a kind of filler middle name

[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Siobhan[/name_f]-[name_f]My[/name_f] mom mentioned to me earlier that she thought that the name [name_f]Siobhan[/name_f] was gorgeous but she never thought about naming me it. I like how it’s a form of [name_u]Joan[/name_u], which is close to my current middle name. I think [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Siobhan[/name_f] last name (which is Scottish and starts with a G, for reference) is a strong name.

[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]-[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] was my great grandmas name, but there’s already so many [name_u]Jo[/name_u]’s in the family (love the name, love the [name_u]Jo[/name_u] [name_u]March[/name_u] association, but it doesn’t feel like my name)

Other middle names I’ve thought of include [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]. If anybody has any other names you think would fit I’d love to hear them

Welcome to Nameberry, @falcon196!

Rhiannon is a gorgeous name! Of your options, I like [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] best. It seems to have the best balance to it, and it’s beautiful and meaningful to you. It is a popular middle name, for sure, but [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] is so distinctive that I actually think that’s a positive.

If you like the [name_u]Jo[/name_u] [name_u]March[/name_u] connection but aren’t feeling [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], how about Rhiannon [name_u]March[/name_u]? It’s quirky, but I kind of love it.

Rhiannon [name_f]Kate[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] to me – I agree that a shorter middle fits nicely with the long and powerful [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f]. Or maybe Rhiannon [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], Rhiannon [name_u]June[/name_u], Rhiannon [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f], Rhiannon [name_f]Isla[/name_f]…?

Lucille is a gorgeous name! [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is my cats name though, so I don’t know if that would be weird (she is a gorgeous cat though, and I do love her name)

I hadn’t even thought about [name_u]March[/name_u]! I actually quite like the way it sounds.

Kate is actually part of my given name lol, I have mixed feelings about putting it in the middle spot. I think [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] are pretty, I thought [name_u]June[/name_u] was too country when I saw it but I’m warming up to it.

Welcome, @falcon196! [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] is very cool, but I do agree with @bellalily: they all do feel a little long. Have you considered
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u]
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_u]Julianne[/name_u]
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u]
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Vienna[/name_f]
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Marcelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]-[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
I feel like you need a one or two syllable middle name. Good luck and I hope this helped!

Marie sounds gorgeous with [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f]!

Also, is [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] a reference to the song? I can’t believe I didn’t process that at first, it’s lovely

I just wanted to pop in and suggest [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]! It’s the Scottish form of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], so it would honor your great grandmother and your Scottish heritage!

How do you pronounce [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]? Is it [name_f]Els[/name_f]-Peth? It’s absolutely beautiful

Yes, I think you got it! (It’s so hard to try to write names phonetically!) I would break it down as [name_f]Elle[/name_f]-speth if that helps!
