Replacement for Phaena

I know I’ve been posting a lot, but I could really use advice on names for a story I’m writing :slight_smile:

I need a replacement name for Phaena. It just isn’t working for me. The character is shy, can seem overly meek or inept, but is actually very brave and gentle.

“Phaena” isn’t the one. She needs a new name.
Her close friends are Shelter, [name_u]Cal[/name_u] ([name_m]Callahan[/name_m]), [name_m]Hitch[/name_m], [name_f]Faune[/name_f] and [name_m]Hallam[/name_m].
[name_m]Hallam[/name_m] might also be up for a name change, since I’m trying to go for slightly more recognizable names, and [name_m]Hallam[/name_m] and [name_m]Callahan[/name_m] just doesn’t work.

My Phaena replacement ideas are: [name_f]Philippa[/name_f]/[name_f]Philippine[/name_f], [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], [name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_f]Luna[/name_f], or [name_f]Aloisia[/name_f]. I don’t love-love any of them.

Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] the names [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_f]Luna[/name_f], however, [name_f]Aloisia[/name_f] might be better suited for your character if she’s on the shy side.

[name_f]Paloma[/name_f] is lovely, and sounds good next to the other names you’ve chosen.

[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] was the first alternative to come to my mind, also [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] (Although that might be a bit obscure next to the other names). I hope you find something :).
