It sounds pretty, but as a name I think it could be hard to wear - much like names [name_f]Heaven[/name_f], [name_f]Destiny[/name_f] or [name_u]Eden[/name_u]. Word names are hard to split from associating with the place/concept.

I used to not like [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] all that much, and then, just one day, it clicked. Now, I have [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] on my list and I really like the nickname Revvie.

It’s heavenly.

Reverie is a word that isn’t commonly used enough in [name_f]English[/name_f] to make the name cumbersome, like [name_f]Heaven[/name_f] or [name_u]Story[/name_u], so it’s ripe for the picking as far as names go. I could more easily see it as a name than a word at this point, because I can’t remember the last time I heard it said irl. It’s a bit like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - nobody uses that word as a word anymore.

I get such warm, golden, peaceful vibes from [name_f]Reverie[/name_f]. I’d absolutely be thrilled to meet one.

This is one of my favorite word names! I’d personally use it as a middle, but it would be a lovely first name as well. I agree with another post; it’s not a commonly used word like [name_f]Heaven[/name_f], [name_f]Faith[/name_f], etc so it seems easier to use as a name. I doubt many would know it was a word name when first hearing it.

It’s not my favourite but it’s definitely not a “dumb” name. Pretty and on trend.

I like it! It’s pretty and I love both the meaning and the sound of it. I don’t think I would use it just due to my personal preference but I can’t see any other reason not to like it or use it!

I think it’s delightful! It’s very soft and whimsical, with a gentle and elegant feel.
