I like the sound and look of it, but I’m wondering how useable and wearable it is, especially on an adult. I kind of worry about the meaning, especially if she inherits my ditziness/space cadet-ness. 
Maybe I’m overthinking it since people literally name their kid “shoe” (Brogan), [name_m]Rebel[/name_m], [name_m]Riot[/name_m], etc.
I don’t pay attention to meaning but it would trip me up to say.
It does feel ditzy to me - very much a crunchy Instagram influencer name. [name_m]Her[/name_m] siblings would be [name_f]Sailor[/name_f] and [name_f]Rain[/name_f].
I think Reverie feels stylish with a touch of whimsy that for me is emphasised via the meaning ‘daydream’. I understand the feeling of ditziness but for me I see daydreaming as a form of escapism which as a daydreamer I like! I think maybe the ditzy thought process is a little off as that’s not what I’d think really. Anyways I think Reverie feels very on trend and I do agree with @marysia about the instagram vibe with having siblings named Sailor or Rain.
I think it has a lovely meaning! I don’t feel like it gives “ditzy” at all. I feel like most people don’t know the meaning/don’t care about the meaning of most names anyways (us namenerds aside) so I wouldn’t worry about it.
I might be biased because [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] is one of my all time favourites, but to me, she’s not ditzy at all. She’s more whimsy, and carefree, and that’s not a bad thing. I think she’s spunky, and brave, but definitely usable.
[name_f]Reverie[/name_f] is bold, but I think it’s rising and very wearable in the era of [name_m]River[/name_m] and [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f]. [name_m]The[/name_m] image it evokes for me is more dreamy than ditzy. And I think frankly I don’t hear the word [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] tossed around that often, certainly less than words like [name_m]Rebel[/name_m] or [name_m]Riot[/name_m]. It feels a bit like [name_f]Melody[/name_f] or [name_f]Fable[/name_f] to me - a word that exists, but combines a pretty sound with a gently aloof meaning that primes it for name territory.
I would picture a [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] being pretty, slightly quiet, maybe from a family that’s a bit quirkier or eccentric, but not bizarre. It’s a very pretty name.
I love [name_f]Reverie[/name_f]! And though i know it means daydream, but when people use [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] i feel it’s usually more of a quiet contemplation, then a truly fanciful ditzy kind of daydream. So for me it feels more quiet and contemplative.
[name_m]The[/name_m] only [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] I know of goes exclusively by [name_f]Revie[/name_f].
I think the meaning is fine! It’s not amazing, but it also isn’t negative.
Side note, I love the potential nickname Revie/Revy.
[name_m]The[/name_m] main downside to this name (I think) is that it could be reeeeeally hard for a little kid to say.
[name_f]Reverie[/name_f] is very sweet-sounding, and I do find the meaning rather appealing too - my hang-up is that it doesn’t seem namey enough for me, but I do like her as a middle! I agree there are much worse word names out there though.
