Sorry I’m asking this again - it’s been few months so I’m looking for opinions again.
If it’s a girl, it will be [name_f]Lila[/name_f] / [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]
We can’t decide on the spelling - what are your opinions and do they mean the same thing?

Congratulations! Personally, I prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. It feels more streamlined, and I think the pronunciation is still clear. Beautiful name either way!
Both variations appear to have the Arabic meaning of ‘night’ on Nameberry. But [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] also appears to be a diminutive of [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]. And [name_f]Lila[/name_f] directly translates as ‘lilac’ in Dutch and Hebrew. So it might depend on which origin you wish to honour. Either way it’s a lovely name and finding it’s true origin might be tricky!
Personally I love both spellings but my instinct is always to go for [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] with an ‘h’. I think it makes the name feel more substantial and adds a softness to the look and feel of it. Of course you may run into people misspelling it but that wouldn’t be a deciding factor for me personally. Actually I’m not sure whether most people would naturally spell it with or without the h.
Personally, I prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. It just looks nicer on paper to me. Btw, it’s a gorgeous name. 
I prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f]! That’s definitely the spelling I’m most used to, so to me it looks complete and kind of gives me the impression that [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is “[name_f]Lila[/name_f] with an h,” if that makes sense. Also, if I saw [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] in isolation, I would probably think it might be short for [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], whereas I wouldn’t think that with [name_f]Lila[/name_f].
It’s very tricky to find the origin!
I also read that [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is translated from the Hebrew Lilach which means lilac.
She would be symbolically named after lilacs since my grandparents had a tree and lilacs always make me think of them.

That’s a hard one: I like both spellings and don’t think there’s a right on wrong one here. Go for the one you instinctively like more. I think I slightly prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], and that’s how I’d spell it if I heard it aloud. I assume you are pronouncing it LIE-luh? and not [name_u]LEE[/name_u]-luh? My worry with [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is that some people might pronounce it [name_u]LEE[/name_u]-luh, because I’ve seen it both ways.
what I always try to do is write the name out as if it was a signature. the ease of writing and the way it looks written out has always been helpful to me when trying to decide on a spelling. usually one feels more natural or looks better.
I prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f], I think the h just makes it unnecessarily complicated.
It’s a very pretty choice. Both mean the same as far as I know, but I think I prefer [name_f]Lilah[/name_f].

I much prefer the spelling [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. They share the “night” meaning, as far as I know.
Another vote for [name_f]Lila[/name_f]! I agree with the poster who said they’d assume [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] was short for [name_f]Delilah[/name_f].

Bit late to the party, but just adding another vote for [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]. Something about the ‘h’ gives it a really beautiful lift, in my opinion, and makes it look very elegant and sophisticated to my mind. [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is also lovely - I see it as a more spunky name. So they kind of each have their connotations! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] you find which one is right for your baby if it’s a little girl. And congrats.
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is my favourite, personally.
