Rex short for?

Any suggestions for full names that [name_u]Rex[/name_u] can be short for?

[name_m]Reginald[/name_m]/[name_u]Reggie[/name_u]
[name_m]Rexford[/name_m]
[name_m]Redford[/name_m]
[name_u]Reagan[/name_u]
Reddick
[name_m]Reaves[/name_m]

Some might be more of a stretch - not sure if you mind that

[name_m]Rupert[/name_m]
[name_m]Fredrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Roderick[/name_m]
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
[name_u]Remington[/name_u]

I don’t know about [name_u]Rex[/name_u], but a similar name is [name_u]Lex[/name_u] which could be short for [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], [name_m]Alexei[/name_m], etc.

Sorry if I repeat any!

[name_m]Reginald[/name_m]
Rennick
[name_m]Rexford[/name_m]
Revere
[name_m]Redford[/name_m]
[name_m]Redding[/name_m]
[name_u]Remington[/name_u]
[name_m]Braxton[/name_m]
[name_u]Everest[/name_u]
[name_m]Preston[/name_m]
[name_f]Cypress[/name_f]
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m]
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]

What about a first name that starts with R & a middle with X? [name_m]Roland[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] = R X = [name_u]Rex[/name_u]
Or if you want to get more deliberate, a name that starts with Re and a middle that starts with X, like [name_m]Reginald[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] = [name_u]Rex[/name_u].

I think traditionally it was short for [name_m]Reginald[/name_m] but any R name would work.

You’ve got some pretty good choices already. I just want to add [name_m]Richard[/name_m], if [name_m]Rick[/name_m] is an accepted nickname it doesn’t seem too much of a stretch to get [name_u]Rex[/name_u]
