[name]Hi[/name] berries!
So me and my SO are always just brainstorming names (really, it’s just me but I like to think he’s name obsessed too), and we realized that all our little girls would have rhyming middle names. I’ll explain how we got there:
First, there came Colette Rae. [name]Colette[/name] was an instant favorite and the name together is to honor our sisters [name]Nicole[/name] and [name]Rachel[/name].
Then, there was Rosalie May. [name]Rose[/name] is just a favorite and [name]Mae[/name] is a big family name for him honoring multiple people.
Next we had Leah [name]Bay[/name]. He won’t give up on [name]Leah[/name], and living on the water my whole life I needed a water name and I love the L-B sound.
Is this too weird? I would never ever give them rhyming first names but is middles a no go too?
Thanks!!
I think rhyming names are fine in the middle. No worries! It’s a cute tie, too.
Thank you! I think i’ll be okay with it just cause they all have some sort of meaning. I didn’t just intentionally come up with the rhyming middles haha
It would bother me more that [name]Leah[/name] has the same sounds as [name]Rosalie[/name], if you say them in a row: [name]Rosalie[/name]-[name]Leah[/name]. Rhyming middles is ok, it could be a little silly but it’s not really an issue. You could come up with other water names: [name]River[/name], [name]Brook[/name] (there’s your B), etc. And [name]Mae[/name] could be [name]Maeve[/name].
I’m really not big on [name]Brook[/name]
sorry. I guess [name]Leah[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name] do have the lee sound but one is at the beginning and one is at the end so it doesn’t bother me too much. Plus, [name]Rosalie[/name] would probably go by nn [name]Rose[/name]. I wouldn’t really wanna change [name]May[/name] though cause then it wouldn’t have the same family value it has now, ya know?
