I have a friend who is having a little boy and wants to name him [name_u]Reece[/name_u] but she isn’t sure on the spelling. The last name is [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] (funny cause right now there is a post asking about the name [name_u]Sutton[/name_u]) her favorite spelling of the name is [name_u]Reece[/name_u], prefers [name_u]Reese[/name_u] with the last name because of the S, but at the same time thinks [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] looks best but doesn’t like the spelling [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]. Any ideas, any names like [name_u]Reece[/name_u] that could go well with [name_u]Sutton[/name_u]?
lol The post about [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] is mine. Obviously, it’s a surname turned first name. =]
I agree [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] looks the best and I actually prefer this spelling. It’s a very handsome name. [name_u]Reece[/name_u] is better suited as the feminine spelling, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. [name_u]Reese[/name_u] makes me think of the candy, but it’s still an okay spelling. haha
[name_u]Reid[/name_u], [name_u]Roan[/name_u], and [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] are the first names that come to mind similar to [name_u]Reese[/name_u] in that they are short, start with R, and not terribly common. I don’t know that [name_u]Reid[/name_u] sounds all that great with [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] as the last name. I like [name_u]Roan[/name_u] and [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] with [name_u]Sutton[/name_u], though.
I much prefer [name_u]Rhys[/name_u].
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_u]Reid[/name_u]
[name_u]Riley[/name_u]
[name_u]Roan[/name_u]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_m]Roarke[/name_m]
[name_m]Ramsey[/name_m]
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]
[name_m]Rigby[/name_m]
I would spell it [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] too, sorry. I like [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] for a boy and [name_u]Reese[/name_u] for a girl. [name_u]Reece[/name_u] just looks confusing either way.
I like the spelling of [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] best for a boy, but I’m afraid I don’t like the sound of [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] paired with [name_u]Sutton[/name_u], no matter the spelling! The first name runs into the last and is confusing- sounds more like [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] Utton, if that makes sense. Sorry I like the suggestions above of [name_u]Roan[/name_u], [name_u]Reid[/name_u] & [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] as other possibilities.
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u] is really the only spelling I like. With ln [name_u]Sutton[/name_u], I definitely second [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_u]Riley[/name_u], & [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m].
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u] is by far the best spelling.
I think [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] is the most masculine option.
[name_u]Reece[/name_u] and [name_u]Reese[/name_u] strike. Me as more feminine so I prefer [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] on a boy.
